It's 2015 and you aren't even close to owning a flat earth map

Is it just me or is this far more pathetic than the round earthers not owning a spaceship?

Yup, definitely more pathetic. Even a "fake" model of the earth has a map that is accurate and works. How comes that there is no map of the "true" shape of the earth, cause that map must be much easier to make and be so much more accurate. And maps have existed how long? And they are very cheap and easy to copy.
Math is the language of the universe.

The inability to explain something is not proof of something else.

We don't speak for reality - we only observe it. An observation can have any cause, but it is still no more than just an observation.

When in doubt; sources!

  • Of course it's flat. It looks that way up close.

And don't give us anything about time. You've had millions of years of people thinking the earth was flat. We had 5000.
I am the worst moderator ever.

Sometimes I wonder: "Why am  I on this site?"
Then I look at threads about clouds not existing and I go back to posting and lurking. Lurk moar.

If you need a method, work together. It seems as though this site has an international group of users. If, together, you could note down the time and angle of sunset, and the position of the Sun elsewhere at that time, you could work out relative distances with a universal landmark.

From that you can work out the relative locations of the areas of the world: that would find a map no matter the world's shape, and nothing there could be altered.
Does the user group of this site want to attempt this?

I'm all for it.  From my experience you will probonaly have the cooperation of nearly every round earther but the flat earthers tend to stay away from experiments as if they were radioactive.  That way they could call everyone liars when the experiment inevitably proves round Earth and protect their fantasy.  I have seen this happen on at least 5 different iccasions, mostly with experiments I organize.
I am having a video war with Jeranism.
See the thread about it here.

Their complaints seem self-causing then. If experiments are offered, and they refuse to take part in any, then they'll need to use the word of those who do not accept a Flat Earth, in which case their complaints that all information comes from 'closed minded shills' is entirely their fault.
Perhaps it would be better to not think of this as an experiment, then: merely a way to find an approximate map of the world while relying on no resources except your own two eyes, and the eyes of others.

I would be part of it, but the sky is very cloudy where I have ended up, and I don't know if I'll be here long enough. I will be happy to provide guidelines and planning though.
