In Papa's defense (which is not really my thing) he did not say that light and sound do travel at the same speed, just posed the possibility.
Either way, I am still not sure what scepti's model is supposed to predict. So far all I understand from his model is

- vacuums do not exist

When this thread opened, it seemed like obvious baiting and the light=sound seemed too wacky for me to care.  So, I ignored it. 
Then, the pattern of relentless shillery seemed unusual.  My spider-senses tingled and I thought there must be something deep being exposed in this thread for all of the trolls to go crazy.  So, I read it and marvelled. 
Thanks to the ignore function, I was able to reduce the scroller-coaster ride by at least 2/3rds! that made discovering these truths easier!!

The following is addressed to true-earthers.  Please do not clutter the forum with responses if you are shilling in a delusional fantasy sci-fiction world.  I want to tie my understanding into the dome.  Please correct me in the below statements. 

Now imagine when the suns reflection moves down the dome. It moves into more dense atmosphere due to your body and eyes being deprived of the full wave spectrum due to it being diluted if you like, plus diverged, meaning you lose wavelength which is why you see a yellow sun and then a yellowy red as it moves away and down the dome, as opposed to the full on wave spectrum of the bright white looking high noon sun.

I don't know if I'm explaining it well enough for you. Hopefully I am.

How can we be certain the sun is a physical object? 

The dome acts as a parabolic mirror.  The energy of the earth is converged and reflected back down by the dome. 

I am torn whether to believe the sun is an object or not.  The sun could conceivably represent the focal point of the dome/parabolic mirror creating the illusion of being an object. 

What to make of the moon?  Likewise, the moon may not be a physical object.  The moon appears to be a reflection of the earth projected up on the inside of the dome.
