It's still the same sound so your ears should still process it in the same way, including how long it takes.

So if I were to stand 50 feet away from the rifle, and had a radio by the rifle transmitting and one in my hand receiving, the results would be the same?  I would hear the radio gunshot first, followed a couple seconds later by the actual report because my ears aren't tuned the same?

Light and sound are the same thing. You do not get light  unless you produce agitation/friction/vibration and frequency of it, which is for all intents and purposes - sound.

Trying to over complicate it all will get you nowhere, because no matter what you use, it still comes down to the same thing.
The only magical way it doesn't is when a vacuum (space?) is mentioned. The problem with this is, there's no such thing as a true vacuum with anything like light in it because common sense and logic (remember these?) should tell anyone that it's impossible. It's as impossible as time travel or pulling a real rabbit from an "empty" hat...unless it's done for illusion purposes, which is what a lot of theoretical science portrays, especially with CGI and all the rest of the clap trap.

For all you people looking in and those with an inquiring mind. Think about what I'm saying, seriously. We are abandoning common sense when we start following some of this absolute tripe spewed out by tefal heads, who should know better but probably do and yet are too scared of losing their jobs to say any other...probably...maybe, or are they just naive to the cause?

The clues are there. The science world has no clue about a lot of stuff like this, so they simply make a best guess.
They can't figure out whether light is a wave or particle one minute and the next minute they know the full lot when it suits.

The sooner people realise that you cannot look into the past (as in stars), the sooner people will realise that they have been taken for a ride in a lot of this so called science theory garbage.

We simply do not possess the senses to see and hear a lot of what's going on in this world...but some animals possess a lot more natural sense than we do.
Luckily for us we can actually manufacture aids to help us hear and see what some animals/creatures can, but we can only go so far.

The issue still stands and will stand for all time because it's a TRUTH, not a fantasy. Light is the direct result of friction which is vibration at frequencies of which there is (to us) infinite amounts.

We simply do not possess the senses to see and hear a lot of what's going on in this world...but some animals possess a lot more natural sense than we do.
Luckily for us we can actually manufacture aids to help us hear and see what some animals/creatures can, but we can only go so far.

Saying that you can't produce light without having some sort of agitation or you can't sense light without some sort of agitation (which is 100% true) is not the same as saying that light = sound or that light is the end product of sound or that you can't have light travelling in a vacuum or that the thunder caused the lighting or something like that (which is bullshit). Nope,  it's not true now and never has been,  it's just your ignorance on display.    Light is electromagnetic radiation,  it has been well understood for years.    Sound is just pressure waves.

So no, we have not proven that light comes from sound. And you can create light from sound, yes, but that still doesn't mean that light and sound is the same thing.
