Communism, in its original and in moat modern forms, is democratic (although revolutionary). There is a reason why people say Lenin betrayed the revolution.
Nevertheless, Syriza isnt communist, but social-democrat.

Can you provide a source? Also, that is called a property tax, and communism specifically says that private property isnt to be taken.

They aren't using ANY kind of communism, so.

Michael Hudson, Joseph Stieglitz and Paul Krugman all said that they would say NO to the austerity pact. They are obviously not communist. You cannot treat a country as you would treat a company. That's the main error of Nealiberalism. If the citizens have no money to by things, how shall the economy of a country recover? It is a circulus vitiosus .

Greece 30% haircut/bail-in & google.  It's being denied of course.  Cyprus did the same thing back in 2013.  My deposits would have already been emptied anyway

So it's ok for them to just take money from your savings, which have already been taxed if you paid income tax, and what about those who have the cash at home and not in the bank?  Would you voluntarily surrender the required amount in order to be fair with those who are having it taken from them?

Actually, that's a massive part of where they are now: almost nobody has been paying any tax, especially income tax.  For decades they have had crony capitalism and socialist spending levels combined with low tax levels - which many dodge completely.  It just doesn't add up.

They aren't a government of communism, socialism or any other other ism - their hands are completely tied whatever their philosophy - they have no money and owe other people lots.  This is a crisis government just desperately trying to keep things afloat.
