One thing that needs to be considered is motive.  Why would any government fake climate change and pretend it exists if it's not real?  Think about it, how does knowlage of climate change effect your daily life?  Some people might drive less or use less electricity, which are things that the government earns money from via taxes and they won't get as much money because of climate change.  Power plants loose a lot of money because of that too.

The only people who stand to gain is the general public.  Our oil reserves won't last forever and climate change concerns have been responsible for many other longer term and cheaper methods of getting energy.  If this is why the government is supposedly faking climate change then why would they have to fake climate change to accomplish it?  Since the general public is benefitting they could just tell everyone what they want to accomplish.
Will you give this "why would they fake it" shit a rest. They just cannot figure out how the earth works so they make shit up.
Climate change, really, then why is there evidence of palms in the Arctic.
Running out of oil, bullshit, I remember when we were running out in the 70's.
My favourite in this country is plastic bags killing turtles, bullshit. Put a plastic bag on a hook and go fishing, see how long it takes to catch a turtle. You roundies are nothing but doom and gloom with your round ball.
Too many people, not enough food, running out of oil, to much co2, running out of water, asteroid will destroy us, aliens are coming, give it a rest.

No need to consider so many factors, just see the trends of co2 vs time and temperature vs time . Its very hard even for a layman not to figure out whats happening.

What was the level of co2 when palms grew in the Arctic?
Wouldn't all this extra co2 coming from somewhere escape through the hole in the ozone layer?

Excuse me whilst I pick up my liver. Just split my sides laughing.

CO2 escaping through the hole in the ozone layer....? Wow. So much scientific ignorance in one sentence. All the ozone layer does is absorb UV light in the upper atmosphere. It has no effect on 'keeping in' or 'letting out' gases.
Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by ignorance or stupidity.

Core drills were used to analyze layers of ice which accumulated over the years. The analysis of this ice gave the data of the co2 concentration at the time which the ice corresponded to. Further analysis of the isotopes of oxygen could determine accurately the temp of year in which that snow fell. If you analyze the graphs of temp vs time and co2 con vs time. Then you will realise how well they support each other. In Antarctica if you carry out this analysis you can go far as back as 650000 years. Over all this time the co2 never went above 300 ppm and what is the present co2 concentration ? It is above 400 ppm! I mean one has to be blind if they cannot understand this trend.

Not just blind but I am also dumb for unlike you I cannot understand with your co2 measurements why there is evidence of palms in the Artic region. You speak of a trend, well, how do the palms fit in the Arctic with so called climate change.

In less than a century co2 concentration has gone up by 100ppm ,  a thing which was unheard of in 650000 years. Can you grasp the severity now ?!

It is one thing to debate about the shape of the earth but to deny climate change and do nothing about it is simply a morally wrong thing to do. At this rate a time will come in the not too far future where our great grandchildren will question why did our forefathers not do something about it when there was still time and opportunity.

The problem is not so big that it cannot be tackled, individual awareness and influencing political will is all that is required.

Global co-operation and political will to tackle climate problems has been demonstrated in the past. A glorious example is the Montreal protocol which was an international treaty to phase out ozone depleting substances. It was successful and the problem ozone layer depletion has been diminished by a large amount. It was an example of such international co-operation that even Kofi Annan said "perhaps the single most successful international agreement to date has been the Montreal Protocol"

Therefore it is time that one takes this seriously and make an effort at the individual level. Become aware and do your small part towards making the life of your future generations better.

In the 70's we were being warned of an ice age and in 20 years, New York City would be under a mile thick Glaser. The only solution was a government take over of the way people conducted their lives.

Then, in the 90's-00's we were warned of global warming and in 20 years, New York City would be under water. The only solution was a government take over of the way people conducted their lives.

Now, Climate Change is an imminent threat to civilization, and any minute New York City will be swept away by hurricanes. The only solution is a government take over of the way people conduce their lives.

When the crisis keeps changing, but the solution remains the same, maybe the real goal is the solution after all.

Just something to think about.

Outside this forum, I have seen many scientist and organizations get busted for fudging the numbers in order to make their adgenda sound more legitimate.  Why do I have to explain it when round Earth scientists get busted for lying about global warming, or now climate change once the Earth was proven to not be warming?  What are they going to lie about next?  Another ice age?  Oh, wait, that is what the scientist were clambering about back in the seventies, until it was proven false and they had to change gears and start going on about global warming, until that was proven false as well.  So now, it is climate change.  It seems that your scientists have finally picked something that can't be proven false, because the climate has always changed.  ::)

You want to see climate change, global warming, rising sea level? Come to Alaska. Coastal highways that are now under the sea, melting permafrost, eroding coastlines where houses are now falling into the ocean.

All of this is happening in Alaska.

We may not need a government take over, but we definitely need to improve public opinion about climate change and consequences of rising sea levels, ice caps melting, threatened sea life, etc. Entire ecosystems will die, and it's our fault, but denying climate change eliminates any fault.

For   the  simpletons    I    have    spaced    the    words    a    little    further    apart.
If    your    climate    change    is    caused    by    man    then    why    is    there    already    evidence    of     palms    in    the    Arctic    region?

You've already made it clear that you don't subscribe to modern science, and since this claim was a recent finding that you most likely found in a scientific journal... your point therefore is moot.

You're being a hypocrite if you're trying to use this as some sort of point, as you should reject modern scientific findings if what you say about yourself is accurate.

Try again. This time think it through and try to stay in character.

You are not thinking clearly, maybe you need to eat some meat.
I do not reject science, only false science.
A simple question and look at you go into a spin.
Are you going to attempt to answer the question or just keep fluffing about calling me a hypocrite?

You are a hypocrite, though. That much is clear. What constitutes false science? Whatever you're not using to try to push your pathetic arguments?  ::)

Would you mind linking the source for your Arctic palms claim?
