And I was just about to congratulate you for having an open mind...  Don't think of changing opinions as loosing or doing what "they" want.  That's the problem with conspiracy theories, those who believe them can't think strait because they think that even considering the other side is loosing in some way.  If you keep an open mind and consider the other side then if your beliefs are really true then your opinion shouldn't change anyway, so there is no harm in doing it.

Meanwhile how about you contemplate how sunsets and time zones could exist at the same time on a flat Earth.

How about when the same thing happens in the antarctic circle?  Please explain to me how that would be possible on a flat Earth.  I have already told you via PM how this happens on a round Earth.

Please, note that I have presented a problem concerning ths sun going around 360 degrees on the North Pole and now you bring me another strange fact that the sun "also goes around 360 degrees" on the South Pole. For me it seems another impossibility as well. If the sun is FAR AWAY and STILL there's no way to observe that from the poles. Sorry, but I decided to adopt the handle Honest J for a good reason. I'm still waiting for a good explanation and didn't buy the FE stuff yet. Greetings!

Why not start a new thread to discuss "How Does a Midnight Sun Work on a Spherical Earth?" or something like. There's already been a lot of discussion about that here, but so much extraneous stuff associated with the term that the relevant posts are hard to find.

Thanks Alpha2Omega, you are very kind. I'm still new on the block so don't know how to start a thread yet. Mikeman was also very polite and sent me nice material, but not a word about my doubt. The "midnight sun" is not precisely what I'm talking about, you know that. "Midnight Sun" is a good advertising idea for a remote small town in northern Norway. You have posted hundreds of times in this forum so this subject should not be new stuff - not for you especially.

My queston is "how can the sun go around 360 degrees and be seen that way by an observer near the pole". So far it seems impossible for me, but I still hope some smart guy could give me a clue - btw you have suggested in a PM to ask the question in a forum - and yet here I am being invited to start a new thread. If no answer comes, sure I will.

I have debunked that argument many times.  Zig zag should not be expected on a round Earth.  Flat earthers are just so desperate for evidence that they will take anything though.
