Here's what I don't get...
« on: November 17, 2006, 04:58:45 PM »
Regardless of what shape our planet is (it's a sphere for the record) NASA would still want to examine our planet and take pictures.  If it's round, it's round.  They will study it's roundness.  If it is flat, then so be it.  They will study the hell out of it's flatness and come up with theories as to how it all works.  It would be made just as public as it is being round.

In the eyes of a moron, NASA knows it's flat, but it is keeping it's flatness a secret from the American public, because apparently all the civilian population of the world would shit themselves if they ever found out the Earth is in fact flat.

If NASA were to come out of it's closet tomorrow and tell us the Earth really is flat, no one will panic, and a lot of people won't give a shit.  Hell, if it were flat, I'd love the President to be a Flat Earther.  You aren't going to hear people scream, "Oh no, IT'S FLAT NOW?!  HOW IS EARTH GOING TO SURVIVE?!"  The answer is this: the same way we have been since life on Earth got it's start.

Obviously, if it's been flat all along we were and still are able to continue going on as a civilization.

But ultimately, all FES'ers are wrong.

So if NASA came out tomorrow and said, "Hey, guys, remember all those pictures of the earth we have, all those satellites we shoot into space and those shuttle missions we've done?  Well...we kind of made that stuff up.  The pictures are fake, satellites are dummy rockets, and the shuttle doesn't do what we've said it does.  Sorry about that.  Hey, can we still have billions of dollars every year?"

Nothing would change?  People would not be upset about the waste of money?  Stock markets wouldn't crash due to the lack of confidence in the governments?  People wouldn't be out of jobs since the space industry is a hoax?

You can have it.  It just won't necessarily come from a satellite.

That's a funny sentence, although it's a good thing Bibicul has stopped posting on this forum or he would use it against me.

That is of course assuming that the Earth is simply flat..end of story.

Who knows what mysteries the Flat Earth holds underneith it?
ny Conspiricy without a secret society more than 1000 years old isn't worth thinking about
