I've been getting reports all morning, but I just ignored them mostly lol

I assumed so, but that doesn't change the fact that flooding isn't going to achieve anything, especially with only one regular mod who likely takes one look at the pile and puts it off until he has more time.
It's not ideal, but with no decent structure in place, it's the best you'll get. Save reports for the major issues: particularly cruel personal attacks, porn/gore, cluster f-bombs, spamming, Obama taking over the forum etc. At least that way we'll know the major stuff gets dealt with.

The real reason is because I reported them so jroa won't do a thing about it.

But all kinds of trolling, profanity and vulgarity seem to go by without banning. I don't know about warnings, but you see these same persons continually doing this over and over. Most other websites I visit have rules against this and wouldn't tolerate the stuff you see on this website. If enough posters complain, some of those websites have ways to call it to the moderator's attention and the post is deleted.

I saw a posting by a flat earther to take this website seriously. I wonder how any person of reasonably sound mind could take this website seriously ? It's too much fun to take it seriously-I mean the flat earth side . As a reviewer said of a book that he thought was particularly bad . : "It's so stupid it's funny."

So that's my two cents worth comments on the mods. In this world of inflation it's probably de-valued a bit and not really worth the two cents. In the final analysis you just  have to take this website for what it is and abide with it.

But I do take it for what it is, the problem is people like this ruin the site.

People come here to troll and be trolled and to try to troll trolls. No one in their right mind believes the earth is flat, but its fun to debate someone that is playing at believing it. If they are good and smart and clever.

The problem is the mods are letting the lowest common denominator hang around too much. Papa and EJ and Heiwa literally bring nothing to any thread they are in, they aren't clever and they aren't funny. The mods should have closed all of them down. People like JRowe, Vaux and iWitness while annoying as hell are at least fun to debate (for the most part) and bring something to the boards.

I think I am just tired of coming here and I have met people here I like talking to and with the site just becoming more and more of a chore to read and sift through I am finding less and less reasons to come back.

Oh well.

Believe me, I don't like the useless trolls either. The ones that just post insults, profanity, and nonsensical bullshit. I will tolerate terrible spelling if they're trying to make a point, and I will even tolerate obscene profanity, intolerance, and ad hominens provided that's not the entire body of their posts... after that is when I draw the line. It's lazy. It's not funny. And it's a waste of time scrolling through all that shit. But the block function is very helpful for avoiding the accounts you don't want to deal with.

It's also not entirely the fault of the account creator, either. Many people will engage these obvious trolls without a care in the world, which just supports their behavior. The ultimate goal here would be to have the sensible users use some sense and not respond to obvious troll posts that offer absolutely no content... but a lot of the users here seem to like mindless BS, and there's not really anything we can do about that as normal users.

If I could get an admin to unblock my work IP I would be totally cool with this! But because I have to use a proxy at work just to sign in, and proxy sites make it so blocking doesn't work, I am forced to see their posts anyways.
