Hippies can get fucked. I am at an interesting stage in terms of my political opinion. I am both reasonably far left, yet I want to take a baseball bat to about 50% of lefties. This is probably because I'm a student so I know lots of rich kids who are in the middle of a pretend rebellion.
So it sounds like you are near the end of your pretend rebellion, this good news.
Having now lived both in Russia and about 10km away from the Austrian border with Hungary and Slovakia, I now find it kind of offensive when a westerner advocates communism. There is nothing good that it has ever achieved.
Maybe you'd be a little less offended if you knew what you were talking about?
Under Communism the state controlled all the major businesses, utilities and services.
Under Capitalism large corporations control all the major businesses, utilities and services.
When Communism was dispensed the Russian Oligarchs set up companies and continued to own the exact same things as they did before. Absolutely nothing has changed except you now have a warm fuzzy feeling because its got a new name.
