My team lost every single game they played. But they didn't practice at all and got trashed the night before. But I was a great cheerleader with pompoms and everything

Lol. That's Rugby (Union) gents! Not sure if the US has a team. It's a fairly white-collar sport. I Much prefer Rugby (League) which is a slightly different, blue collar sport. The US has a team called the Tommahawks.

Was rugby sevens Rick, worse than any rugby cos they gotta run more, and my boys were all lazy buggers so they couldn't run. There wasn't much injuries though, I waas disappointed

I literally just learned that Australia (via another friend of mine who lives in Australia) has its own sport they call football which apparently is even more rough than Rugby.

Ddraw, we've actually set out a few of the rules and whatnot for another guy in a different thread - just search for AFL. It's a pretty sweet sport, but I still think Rugby League is tougher. AFL used to be hard as, but they've refined it a fair bit in the last 10 - 20 years

U know nothing!!! St00pid rugby player!! In rugby 18 points is a drubbing, in AFL its a close match....*sigh*

You are right D Draw, AFL is tougher then Rugby, despite what Rick says. Rugby guys can still wear armour, AFL players have never worn any protection.  ;)

Yes it has been refined in the last decade (not 20 years), but it is still a highly athletic and tough game.

Rick will fight that because we cannot tackle below the knees and above the shoulders that they are weak tackles, but we all know the strongest knocks come from attacking the mid section.

Plus...AFL has the allin Melee's like you see a the baseball, that never happens in Rugby, and even if it did they have maximum 15 players gettin into it. AFL gets all 22 players from each team, the runners, the coaching staff as well.  8)

Rick and I will always argue over the better sport, but I know the real truth, and deep down I know he knows it too.  ;D

AFL = Australias National Sport

Guys are jumping into the air with no padding or helmets on and wearing SPIKES on their shoes! For christ's sake, that's just ridiculous. Also, my friend says she hears about guys getting injured from AFL all the time, which makes me crack up like when a boxer gets a concussion and it's on the news as a big deal.

Its called a "mark" or for a  more spectacular one its called a "speccy".

They have spikes on their shoes, but so do all football shoes??  8) they may jump into each others back with the spikes, but its not like they are metal, AFL mainly uses synthetic spikes that can actually be twisted off.

Heaps of Injuries in AFL, lotsa leg, knee, ankle, hamstring related injuries as the game is sooo fast paced.

As an example, the captain of my team (the Bombers), got drilled in the face back in 2002, had to get a whole facial re-construction, pretty messy stuff  :-X
