The Björkman atomic bomb is described at http://heiwaco.com/bomb1.htm#33 . Any twerp can build it. But like all WMDs using military fission it doesn't work (as explained further down in the article).

Really, any twerp, I'll guarantee you couldn't make one and stay alive.
Quote from: Anders Björkman
3.3 The Björkman atomic bomb - total weight 80 kg

It would evidently be much simpler to just have a 60 kg cube about 14.8x14.8x14.8 cm of Uranium-235 with a hole with an 'initiator', where you can inject a piece of 1 kg of Uranium-235 at a speed of >1.000 m/s using a little mechanical device, so it ignites, when critical mass 61 kg is suddenly reached. This mechanical device incl. 61 kg Uranium-235 weighs say 70 kg. Put it in a bag with weight 10 kg and you have a Björkman atomic bomb (right) that only weighs 80 kg. Imagine that a little cube of Uranium-235 can explode in a little bag! Of course one 1 kg piece must be injected at a speed of >1.000 m/s into the other 60 kg piece.

Easier to handle than the stupid 4 400 kg monster allegedly used at Hiroshima.
Please, oh please Mr Björkman, build such a suicide device, but nowhere any other human being.
Your "bomb" would probably just blow itself apart as you assembled it,  probably killing a few nearby and contaminating things a bit but no big bang.
";) Try it it you like, but you far betta notta ;)" or it might be bye bye birdie Heiwa and then what would we do for entertainment?

There is no one critical mass for fissile material.
The reaction you get depends greatly on the shape and the possible presence of any neutron reflector or absorber.
A 50 kg sphere of U-235 will go critical but probably not make a powerful bomb .
On the other hand, nuclear detonation could be achieved with  less than 15 kg of U-235 or less than 4 kg of Pu-239.

The bare sphere critical mass of U-235 is about 52 kg (depending on purity) but if you simply pushed the parts together there would be just enough explosion to blue the U-235 apart - a fizzer.

Likewise the bare sphere critical mass of Pu-239 is about 10 kg but the Nagasaki bomb used only 6.2 kg - I'll let you work out why it worked, but all 4670 kg mass in that bomb wasn't just to make an impressive looking weapon.

You might find that there is a lot more know-how (theory) involved than you or I will ever know.

Bye bye, if we don't hear from you again well know you did the wrong thing.

I am sorry to be off topic - human space flights - where I pay anyone €1M to explain how and why to fly to the Moon and back. See post #1. Some Utah twerp thought he could do it by buying a video game.
Re WMDs I know plenty twerps love them to vaporize the evil enemy, but when I ask them how to do it - see http://heiwaco.com/bomb1.htm - they always soil and wet their pants and become obnoxious. What's wrong with all these twerps? Bad baby training?

Just face it, the lunar missions required experts in numerous fields to handling all the planning so neither you, I nor any other one person can have the expertise needed.

Quote from: Heiwa
Re WMDs I know plenty twerps love them to vaporize the evil enemy.
I don't want to vaporise anybody. I think that any WMDs are terrible things, but so is fire-bombing, gassing you enemy or sending V-2s over pretty terrible.

But all your arguments boil down to your thinking it sounds ridiculous and claiming that proves it was impossible.
Well, Oppenheimer originally thought a U-235 weapon was completely impractical so Germany wasted their time trying to make Pu-239.
And one person did not work it all out, it took hundreds of people who took massive risks and made some bad mistakes.

Then one of your "experts" claimed that there was nothing special about the damage to Hiroshima compared to Tokyo - there was no damage that could not have been done by a few hundred B-29s! BUT there were not hundreds of planes firebombing - there was one plane dropping one bomb on each of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
I don't believe that he disputed.

But, it's about time I realised that any exchange with someone who's only real argument ends up as ridicule but he's too dumb to understand it is futile.

Topic is my funny human space flight Challenge - see post #1. I offer €1M to anyone describing how to do it. But there are no takers. Only plenty twerps being obnoxious.
Of course topic changed recently to another Challenge of mine - how to ignite an atomic bomb to vaporize children, women and towns - and again there are no takers. Only some twerps apologizing that they believe in atomic bombs but not  vaporizing children, women and towns.
Typical twerps - so what is the purpose of an atomic bomb? To defeat the enemy?  By vaporizing children, women and towns?
Anyway, the good news is that there are no takers of my 2nd Challenge! Atomic bombs are just propaganda.

Incorrect!
All we see is you proving that you have no understanding of what is involved and how it's done and I'll be as obnoxious as possible to a blight on humanity like yourself.

Forget your stupid challenges! Nobody could possibly win them.
The moon landings took hundreds of people a decade of planning and development and you expect it to be described by one person.
Individual things, like approximate trajectories, delta-Vs and fuel requirements have been explained numerous times - but you can't understand, so you ridicule it!

Whether you believe it or not, exactly how the lunar landings were planned implemented and achieved is very well documented.
Almost every move made has been written down and is available.
You're being incapable of reading and understanding it is neither here nor there - no-one cares what a few conspiratards believe - every field has its share of such people.

Quote from: Heiwa

One can certainly "believe in atomic bombs" and believe that unfortunately, they resulted in "vaporizing children, women and" parts of "towns".
It's a sad fact in this world that devastating things do happen especially in times of war but that does not affect the reality of those things.

Unfortunately "the purpose of an atomic bomb" is completely irrelevant. The reality of nuclear weapons is totally unrelated to their purpose.

As with the lunar landings, most of the work leading up the development of nuclear weapons has been well documented as has much of the construction of both fission and fusion weapons.

No doubt (or at least, I hope) that there are many more technical details that would make it almost impossible for rogue groups to build weapons.
Nevertheless, the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, Russia, France, China, India, Pakistan, North Korea and possibly Isreal managed to develop weapons.
Again it matters not what a citizen of conspiritardia, like yourself, chooses to believe or not believe - who cares? Folk like you are a dollar a dozen on YouTube.

Re my €1,000,000 atomic bomb Challenge it must be recalled that the Soviet union under Stalin was the second country in the world to develop an atomic bomb that exploded 1949, we were told. I describe it at http://heiwaco.com/bomb.htm . USSR spies simply stole the US design under the nose of FBI!  Soviet union ceased to exist 1991 and split up into countries like Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, etc, all with atomic bombs capabilities. I visited Russia and Ukraine 33 times 1992/7 buying all sorts of military things - everything was for sale - but couldn't get hold of any WMDs! Reason was that there were none. They were just propaganda. Officially Ukraine and Kazakhstan handed over its WMDs incl. all knowledge how to make them to Russia 1992/7 but only twerps believe such nonsense.

Capitalists love a free market where they can buy and sell anything. Ex-USSR became capitalist 1992 and everything was suddenly for sale by some people having grabbed ex-USSR property. I was invited 1992 to have a look and buy. I actually bought two USSR 'research' ships rusting away! I could have bought an aircraft carrier!!
But everything was not for sale. USSR WMDs for example. Reason - they never existed. They were just propaganda. Like a lot of other things, e.g. Soviet cosmos clowns. USSR said they sent humans to orbit Earth 1961 onward. But it was just Fake News! A communist hoax! Propaganda to impress the world proletariat. JFK didn't like it and ordered NASA to copy/paste the communist nonsense. However, it was just a variation of the US nuclear bomb hoax. As I always say - twerps in West and East believe anything they are told. They lack critical thinking. That's why I created http://heiwaco.com .

You are a twerp, markjo. Accept it and stop posting nonsense.

I went 1992 to ex-USSR to offer jobs for ex-USSR seamen and to buy their ships. Very popular and an interesting experience. Of course I had been there before already 1969. One snowy night at Leningrad, February 1969, I sold all my western clothes/shoes/everything to a young man I met in the shades of the St. Isac cathedral. He fell in love with my western style. He didn't have any money though, so I took his clothes/shoes in exchange for mine and thus looked like belonging to the Russian proletariat when returning to the Astoria/d'Angleterre hotel. I had to bribe the fat woman, communist guard to let me in. The young man looked like Vladimir Putin at 16. Have you ever been in Leningrad/St.Petersburg in February? It is cold and slippery. No public service to clear the streets of ice and snow. Same when I was back 1994/5/6.
But already in the ex-USSR 1992 I was offered all sorts of military equipment but no WMDs. A night with a Russian/Ukrainian girl cost between 10 and 1000 $ but I was not there to fuck girls. Only twerps pay for that. Do you visit prostitutes, markjo? I think you do! Fuck off!

Civilian fission is splitting 100's of tons of uranium oxide fuel in a nuclear power plant to produce electricity during many years. No mush room clouds, etc.

Correct! I actually made a bid for one flat top - Varyag - around 1996! I didn't need it, but my idea was to sell it to the Indian navy, that was in desperate need of one. Then a gentleman from the local US embassy called and told me to forget the deal. In the end the Chinese bought it and is now operating it.

Yes, we understand all too well! You only believe in things you make a lot of Euros out of.
You believe that rockets can get to LEO because you have share in Arianespace.
You believe nuclear power stations  can get to LEO because you are "part owner of 57 nuclear power plants".
But you won't believe super-critical fissile material exploding because you couldn't make a buck flogging them to any old terrorists.

Sure,  we've got your measure. Now bug out!

No. The owner - USSR/Red Navy - had ceased to exist and two of their flat tops were abandoned at a shipyard at Nikolaev, today Ukraine. The Black Sea shipyard wanted to get rid of them because they blocked the production lines. One - Varyag - had done sea trials but were not military outfitted/completed with planes and guns, etc, the other was an empty hull. It was cut into pieces and scrapped. The Varyag could have been converted into a cruise ship - our interest - but she was steam driven with eight oil fired boilers and not very fuel efficient. But then the Indian navy was interested to get the ship and outfit it using the original plans and contacted me. But the US government stopped the 'deal'. Imagine that!
In the end I inspected many ex-USSR ships of all sorts and bought two that later were converted to cruise ships. As the ships had no formal, legal owner it was quite interesting. I bought something belonging to nobody. But it was worked out. Everyone was happy. It was a great show and plenty fun. And no sign of any USSR WMDs!
Reason? They were just propaganda since 1949. Only twerps and dumb ass stooges like markjo, rabinoz and Bullwinkle believe in nuclear weapons and WMDs anyway and post nonsense here.

Were you able to buy any 500kg gravity bombs?  Not WMDs, but I'm sure that a clever terrorist like you could do lots of damage with a few HE bombs.  Were you able to pick up some anti-aircraft or anti-ship missiles at their going out of business sale?

Fuck off!

These are two of your more epic stories you have told Anders.

However, on a real note, Heiwa has proven he is more intelligent and robust than 98 percent of the people on this forum.

Are you serious?  Anders doesn't even think that ionizing radiation is dangerous.

It has nothing to do with intelligence...most of his beliefs are nonsensical...it is the fact he has kept so many people for so many years at his beck and call. He knows the exact thing to say to get all of the usual company back and feeding his need for attention.

Not only that, he has the same people believing they can convince him of anything. Them thinking they can effect him any way at all with words...the guy is a machine.

Simply y'all are ripping your hair out and Anders is getting a boner....if everyone ignored him he would wilt away and die out.

The Björkman atomic bomb is described at http://heiwaco.com/bomb1.htm#33 . Any twerp can build it. But like all WMDs using military fission it doesn't work (as explained further down in the article).
They is no such thing as military or civilian fission you idiot.

Fission is simply splitting of the nucleus of an atom into lighter atoms.  Nothing more to it.

If you actually understood how nuclear reactions worked you wouldn't say  stupid shit like military fission.

Mike
Microbrain, you are a twerp. And an idiot.

Military fission is splitting 60 kg of pure uranium metal atoms in nano seconds producing a mush room cloud, high pressure and temperature vaporizing innocent children and women in the vicinity, etc. Military twerps and politicians love it. Of course it just Fake News propaganda but it scares people.

Civilian fission is splitting 100's of tons of uranium oxide fuel in a nuclear power plant to produce electricity during many years. No mush room clouds, etc.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MILITARY OR CIVILIAN FISSION!

You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.

Mike

But there is!

Military fission
lasts nano-seconds and produces a mushroom cloud. How it is ignited is top secret for national security reasons. Only twerps believe in it.
Civilian fission is used in nuclear power plants that produce electricity. There are no secrets or mushroom clouds. I am part owner of 57 nuclear power plants.
You're nothing but a troll and everyone know it.
Since it costs 2.72¢ to produce a penny, putting in your 2¢ if really worth 5.44¢.
