Please don't encourage our resident forum mental midget. And please don't imply that his responses have any sort of relevance in reality.
As you'll learn shortly, sceptimatic lives totally within a tiny, tiny fantasy world fabricated inside his own brain (assuming it's functioning at idle speed at least that is), and which has absolutely no bearing on real-world science. He can't even grasp the very basics of high-school science, but thinks he's a scientist, a world-renowned researcher, an inventor, has a genius IQ, has written numerous books and possesses thirteen academic qualifications.
He also owns a private jet and a helicopter, and has licenses for both. He also frequently visits his family in North Korea, where his father is a highly respected scientist (from whom sceptimatic got his genius genes) and comes and goes frequently with the blessing of the Korean government. Last but not least, he drives a multi-million dollar Bugatti motor vehicle.
So yeah... with all due respect, your thanks are pretty pointless.

I just finished reading twenty-two pages of the above thread you mentioned and a lot of other comments you've written before and I must say you have to be the most forgiving and easy going person there is on this site. Some of the nasty things the other side believers say to you are unbelievable. You simply sit there and take it and continue answering their questions the most positive way you can. I have to applaud you. For the life of me I don't see why they get so mad and arrogant when you simply tell them what you believe so passionately in. They can't tell me that they actually believe everything they are told like some 'mind numb robot'. I know I sure don't. If they would simply calm down and open their minds maybe they would learn something or find an answer to a question. Keep up the good work, I love reading your thoughts.
As you can see. Many global Earther's are armed and ready with the info they have at their finger tips. What mainstream science put on a plate for them.
Their problem is, they know that we know this, yet they still can't understand why we reject a lot of it.
When their attemps to smother us all in total crap and fail at making them look smart, they go into mainstream ridicule mode; parroting what the media call people who question stuff, which are (to name a few) conspiracy theorists (a mild one) conspiracy nut - conspiracy lunatic - uneducated retard - tin foil hat wearing idiot. And so on and so on.
This is when it can become easy to play tit for tat and go into a long drawn out topic that consists of this type of junk.
I prefer to use as few words as possible for those people and once I use them, I tend to dismiss any onslaught which is always coming my way. This frustrates the hell out of them, because their arguments become weaker and weaker with every attempted put down.
That's why I put a few to sleep every now and again, so that I can concentrate on those that actually look like they want to learn a different take on things, even if they spend a lot of time disagreeing. I don't mind that as long as it's kept to minor digs, which is acceptable.
Some can't seem to grasp this - and some deliberately go on the ridicule attack because that's what their goal is. Their goal is to make anyone looking in or anyone contributing, follow the same tune they are playing, and it works to a point until the weakest of the bunch just realise that people like me are made of diamond that they try to grind down using nothing more than hot air abrasives. It simply shines me up.
If I was the retard they make me out to be, then it stands to reason that no self respecting so called scientist is going to expend more than 5 minutes with me, yet what do we see?
They come back, time and time again because they know a lot of this stuff makes sense and they want to suppress it all.
In all fairness; most are simply followers of the mass opinion of the mainstream science world and mainly study on the go, as topics arise.
Others are quite intelligent and can see that there is something in what is being said by most free thinkers.
Some do seem decent people and they try to destroy theories just the same as we try to destroy theirs. This is debate and acceptable to us all I would imagine.
Then you have the terminators. These people will not stop until they rid sites like these and stop people thinking for themselves. They will use every trick in the book to play the game. Forum sliding of topics too close to the bone. Derailment and as much ridicule as they can muster, constantly reminding all posters that a prolific poster with a buzzing mind is a lunatic, not fit to be a parent and is wasting precious oxygen. They will then twist any story so that story looks to make out a person has lied or is simply batshit crazy.
They will gain a little following of people who will parrot what they do. These people are armed to the teeth with all the so called scientific facts and not just book ready or internet ready, but ready as part and parcel of years of experience on forums with a memory system borne from repeated regurgitation of the same so called facts.
They're not hard to miss, are they?
You normally find that these people will play with the good cop, bad cop alias names if they feel one name isn't getting the required results. You see - this way, they can bring you into a conversation as the listener and make you spill your guts and make you feel you are finally getting someone to grasp stuff. This is when the hammer blow comes in and they then tell you that you are an imbecile and what you wrote was retarded.
It's enough to put off the weaker people. Unfortunately for them, I play them at their own game and that's when you find their frustration boils over into using foul language. It's all they have left.
The schoolers are getting schooled when they play against people like me.
