Top 10 Ways to Know the Earth is Not Flat?

It has several interesting points about the validity of a round earth. I am unaware of any theories that provide explanations for (most of) these experiments.
I am hoping someone will be able to review this and provide some explanations (with some sort of good source if possible).

Please assume that the experiments were conducted under ideal conditions unbiased and focus on providing alternate theories to explain the effects observed.

Thanks for that link to the "Smarter Than That" site.  It's difficult for the flat earthers to refute genuine science when it's presented in such a clear and concise manner, along with simple diagrams.

I was also pleased to see a link to Phil Plait's site (which I subscribe to) and Phil's comment...

The world is filled with dumbosity, and it’s all we can do to fight it. But sometimes an idea is so ridiculous that you have to wonder if it’s a joke.

Yeah, I mean the Flat Earthers. Can people in the 21st century really think the Earth is a flat disk, and not a sphere? When I see their claims I have to wonder if it’s an elaborate hoax, their attempt to poke a hornet’s nest just to see how reality-based people react. The media will sometimes talk to these goofballs, and I’m glad to report it’s almost always tongue-in-cheek, which is probably more than they deserve.

And for the flat earthers unfamiliar with Plait's name, he has a PhD in astronomy and was a driving force behind the Hubble Space Telescope project.

As a skeptic, I'm familiar with the interview you're referring to here sceptimatic (with Penn Jillette adjudicating) but if you seriously believe that Joe Rogan—who's nothing more than a mouthy stand-up comedian—caused Phil Plait any grief, then you've totally misrepresented this non-contest of IQs.

Rogan simply regurgitates all the usual crap that appears on dozens of Apollo conspiracy sites all over the interwebs.  He doesn't have one single original opinion to offer, simply because he's totally, academically unqualified to talk about astrophysics and astronautics.  Dr Phil Plait has a PhD in astronomy, and worked on the Hubble Space Telescope project amongst other things.  Mr Rogan tells jokes to drunks in pubs.  Need I say more?

One thing Phil Plait never does is "struggle" to answer questions about astrophysics.
