Interesting. Good to see a bit of foresight for once, but that's an advantage of long term funding, I suppose.

What concerns me more is that a NASA employee watching the sea levels is quoted as saying:

"This is not imminent, he said, noting that the forecast at Langley, which is in Hampton, Virginia, is for five feet (30 centimeters) of sea level rise from the 1980s until the year 2100".

Nice to know they've got someone with a firm grounding in mathematics doing this work.
