now tell me, nasa has sent us images from outer space looking at the earth. it is infact round, and therefor not flat.

also, i own  a sail boat, which i have taken around the world. why have i not seen the edge of the earth.

Imagine you're sailing west from california. In the FE theory hitting japan would mean going around the entire world. But in the RE, it wouldn't take nearly as long. Please explain.

In the FE, if you sail west from Cali, you will hit asia as soon as you cross the pacific.  In case you were wondering, that's the same way it happens on the RE.

Dude read the faq.  You know, the topic that says "please read before posting."

The edge of the earth is where Antarctica is.

Unless you sailed around the earth sticking completely on the equator (which is impossible) you have to curve the direction you're sailing in to be sailing completely west on either a flat Earth or a round Earth.

Imagine you're on the round Earth standing 1 meter away from the North poll.  Now walk "around the world" travelling only West.  You walk in a 1m R circle don't you?  See the curve in your path?  That's what happens on a flat Earth and also on a round Earth unless you perfectly stick to the equator (or probably the magnetic equator) or don't sail specifically East or West.

Shouldn't travel times in the Southern Hemisphere be longer than ones in the Northern Hemisphere?

No.  Moving at a given speed over a given distance takes the same amount of time no matter where on the Earth you are.

basically, if you see the FE'ers explaination of an eclipse, you will understand the true meaning of someone with a little too much time on their hands to come up with an alice in wonderland explaination. FE"ers are living in a world of insecurity. they want to believe in something.

actually the united states government could shut down this website, no matter what country it is in if we wanted too.. and infact if this flat earth was real i am sure we would have by now....

i dont think so... if they wanted it gone it would be. frankly if the unitedstates took this site down, only about 100 people would know they did.
