The earth does not look flat.

Sure it does.  It sure as heck does not look round, now does it?

If it is flat why can't you see over about 20km?  Unless you are on an elevated platform, then you can see longer.  The earths curvature gives you a horizon line so you can only see a certain distance.

Light can not travel infinitely through air.  Think about seeing distant mountains.  They fade away because light is being blocked by the air.  When you get higher, the air density becomes lower and so the air at elevation does not block as much light as the air at sea level.

If the earth was flat if you looked hard enough, couldn't you see the back of yourself?  Of course people or buildings would be blocking your view, but if you looked from a high enough spot, such as a top of a mountain where nothing is in your way couldn't you see the back of yourself?

What?  Why would you be able to see yourself?  Are you saying that light curves horizontally as it travels through the air?  Also, see my above response and try to understand that light is blocked by air.
P.S Lower air density means there is less air to 'block' light.

I really did not understand what you were trying to say in the body of your post.  And, I am even more confused about you repeating back what I said in a P.S.

When you get higher, the air density becomes lower and so the air at elevation does not block as much light as the air at sea level.
So couldn't you see yourself?  Less light is being 'blocked' by air and light can't bend because the lack of gravity.
Question:  When did you start believing that the earth was flat and how did you find this website?

That is a trainwreck of a quote, so I am not going to quote it.  I started believing after studying all of the evidence that was presented by the FE'ers.  At first, I plugged my ears and would not listen to anything, like some of the other noobs here.  But, slowly it started making more and more sense until, one day, it dawned on me that the Earth really is flat.

Do you think that is real?  How can you see the stars?  This is the funniest RE fail I have seen in a long time.

No, it's a digital image.  I haven't found a way to post entire planets onto a forum yet.  Maybe in the next forum upgrade?

Wow, the moon is that close?
That really is nowhere close to  a real picture, Jimbo.

It certainly is a real picture. I can see it.  It's a picture.  It's real.  Therefore real picture.

Do keep up.

I meant it's not an actual picture of the Earth.
That moon cannot be more than 2,000 miles away.

Ah, it's composite image.  That's maybe where you are getting confused.

I've no idea how you would judge the apparent distance of the moon from the earth, however.

Quote
This true-color image shows North and South America as they would appear from space 35,000 km (22,000 miles) above the Earth. The image is a combination of data from two satellites. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instrument aboard NASA’s Terra satellite collected the land surface data over 16 days, while NOAA’s Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) produced a snapshot of the Earth’s clouds.

Here's a non-composite image, if that is helpful to you

Well, in the theory you subscribe to, the Earth does have a diameter.
Realistically, it could be no more than 10,000 miles away, and no less than about 2,000.
