You went quiet after trying to call me out with your LORAN claim. And what deflection are you going to use next?

What?  I did not show you articles and pictures?  Are you just ignoring evidence, or are you actually ignoring everything in your mind and convincing yourself that the evidence is not true?
Loran was used many years ago for mostly navigation for ships. Some Aircraft did use it also. Decca was used for shorted range. I worked at Decca station for 4 years. Those navigation system are all gone now.

Don't say compass. It goes nuts at the poles. Ground transmitter could not possibly be built to do that.

Why do you think airlines do not fly over the poles?
They do. Do you want me to show you the routes? Ok, Here is is:

So are you saying your phone uses an altimeter or radar to determine your location?

I am saying that my phone knows my location without GPS, which goes against RE claims that it could only know that if satellites exist.

Yes, that is old technology.  We could do it 50 years ago, buy you claim that we can not do it now, nor can we have improved it in these days.

Correct. Please show the articles that show how land based transmitters can provide worldwide 3 dimensional positioning in place of gps satellites.

And once again I would like to mention the fact you came here as a round earther and have since been converted. Looking at your early posts you opened up your stay here arguing in favour of satellites, so you should have all the evidence at your disposal to indicate your change of views. Or were you simply indoctrinated? A great mind such as yours is surely not so easily swayed that your only argument now is - satellites do not exist, those that think they do are brainwashed fools, and those that make them are "mistaken".

People can not change their minds when presented with overwhelming evidence?
Of course they can. They can then usually present that overwhelming evidence.

So, now, I am supposed to post top secret information in order to satisfy your curiosity?  What makes you think that I even have this information, let alone risk going to jail for posting it?

They have done, but why would they need to do it regularly? I have driven to Scotland once. I've not done it since because I don't need to. Are you claiming cars can't drive to Scotland? I could get used to your style of argument.

Once again you are twisting the argument. Everyone knows a cell phone can give rough location from triangulation. However 3 dimensional pin pointing anywhere on the face of the earth is only possible with satellites. Using one technology that can perform some semblance of another does not not dispell the existance of either.

No, but lots of you RE'ers love to try to prove that satellites exist because of this radio signal or that one.

No. There are thousands of people that have phones like yours. There is no secret anything about it. It is a iPhone, Samsung or other model? It is not a complicated thing I am asking. I will tell you the specification if you have GPS on it or not. You make claims then you back down.

Why do you ask?  Yes, with a 3G or 4G data connection through the mobile network.

Looking forward to hearing more about your TV box.

Why do you think airlines do not fly over the poles?

Because of a lack of suitable emergency landing sites.

To repeat - that is untrue.  GPS receivers only use GPS satellites.  My tablet does not receive from the phone network, it only has GPS.  It is 'seeing' 17 satellites.

Wow, another groundhog day, where jroa takes round in circles until we all get bored and go home.

My dedicated GPS unit works anywhere, from remote Scottish mountains to the middle of the ocean.

I've used it quite a few times on flights when I've been over the atlantic ocean at 30,000ft - it accurately tells me my location and altitude.  It does not have a barometric sensor (which obviously wouldn't work in pressurized cabin anyway).

It would be impossible for a ground based system to do this.  My challenge is: prove me wrong.
