the cloud walks against FE!

dear flat earthiers, please try to have a look at this video on youtube;

#ws" class="bbc_link" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">South Pole Sunrise 2010

my question is simple;
why do cloud waves go always toward the sun before it rises?
I don't want RE explanations please, I'm a FEr!

Thanks

Why is the sun moving right to left?  It rises from left to right EVERYWHERE on the Earth.

Isn't left or right determined by where you are standing and what direction you are facing?
You did not ask me for logic.  You asked for my opinion. - Jroa

Why is the sun moving right to left?  It rises from left to right EVERYWHERE on the Earth.

because the world is round

At the north pole you have to look towards the sun to see it as it is low to the horizon, but as you travel down to the south pole this makes the sun be at your back (think about a basketball and walking your fingers from one pole to the other) so you have to turn around to see the sun again in antarctica, making it go from right to left.

Source: I live in the southern hemisphere, it always appears right to left for me.
Im not sure how flat earth theory accounts for this.

To give a better explanation, depending on the season, in the northern hemisphere you need to look south in order to see the sun due to the curvature of the earth, so relative to a south facing person the sun travels left to right.

In the southern hemisphere we have to look north to see the sun, once again due to the curvature of the earth, so when we look at the sun it goes right to left like in the video.

mohamed said he wanted FET answers, and specifically asked for no RET answers.  Why do RE'ers think they have to spew their dung in every thread?  Can't you guys understand that sometimes, people want to know what FE'ers think?

This is, after all, Flat Earth Q&A.  Why would you think that questions asked here should be answered with RET answers?  That is retarded.

No, it's not because the world is round or curved but I understand what's going on.   From the SP, the observer can only see the sun rise by looking North which puts East on their right.  And you say it always appears on your right as well.
Thanks Jroa for your comment. OP clearly wanted FEs only.

Go to the debate section.  That is where you are expected to debate.  Why would you try to debate in the Q&A section?  Retard.  That is the only answer I can come up with.

Despite the squabbling, the FE answer is very simple. The sun travels above earth over the equator (variation for seasons). If you are South of the equator, you have to look North to see it.

Question answered.

Not really.

The yellow dot is an observer. The three angles of view are supposed to be equal. According to F.E.T. (where the sun does a circle above our heads) at dawn and at sunset the sun's apparent angular velocity should be minimal, at noon maximal instead, because it covers different arcs of circle that subtend the same angle.

But the everyday experience shows us that the sun's angular velocity is always the same.

Your model is refuted for good.

I daresay you (and even other fe'ers for that matter) can't do anything to patch up this.

Sal,
The observer in your diagram cannot see that far.  We are so tiny that we are only seeing a very small segment of the sky (like that segment you show in the middle).

Psst...the arrows in your diagram are going the wrong direction   Regardless of hemisphere the sun rises from the East.

Wrong. We see about 12 hours of daylight every day, more or less depending from the season, but 12 hours on average. The sun takes 24 hours to do a complete circle. Draw a conclusion yourself...

Yes, I understand that.  But something isn't right....as tiny as we are and as low to the ground as we are, we can only see so many miles of land and yet how many miles of sky are we seeing...?

Here we are talking about to see the sun, not land or other stuff. We see about 12 hours of sun, ergo we see about half a circle of the sun (according to fet). And:

if we see a circle above us, even if we are small, even if the circle is big and high, the sun should show different angular velocities at different hours of the day, period.

No way to make this fact up with some random bullshit as usual in f.e.t.

Is it possible the sun's path is not as the diagram shows...the circles don't get larger as the sun moves South?  Could the circle be the same circumference from the North to the South?  Like say, the size at the equator?  The sun just moves back and forth between the poles in the same circumference?

Hey, i don't believe that stuff! Ask a fe'er.
Anyway, the key-concept we are debating here has nothing to do with the diameter of the (alleged) circle of the sun.

Being as sunsets look like

I think you can see what happens in the two outer sections. But thanks for explaining how sunsets work for FE. You made it very easy to understand.

Your post is too cryptic. I really didn't understand what your point is.

My point is that the circle of the sun purported by FE should have as consequence a difference in sun's angular speed at different hours of the day, in jarring contrast with evidence. Even at sunset or dawn the angular speed is always the same as it is at noon. All that is backed by elementary geometry that nobody can argue.

Really? Because a sundial (a demonstrable object that works by telling the time) has much narrower divisions at noon and more spaced out divisions at sunrise and sunset.

The sun must be 'apparently' moving faster at this time of day.

Again, thank you for making it easier to understand some of the more tricky aspects of FET.

You need to brush up on geometry. The divisions on a sundial have nothing to do with the sun's speed of movement across the sky.
