OSX 10.9

I upgraded.  It feels mostly the same.  The dock icons have higher contrast.  The default background was awful, but I changed it.  Everything else is rock solid so far, but it was before too.

OSX 10.9 is a free upgrade for systems running Snow Leopard ( 10.6.8 ) and up.

In before Thork's "they can't even give it away" nonsense.

I also converted a PC user on this very forum to a MacBook Air just last week.  Incredibly liberating...

I'm downloading it now, while simultaneously creating a backup. I wish I had bought an external hard drive with USB 3.0. It looks like the main benefit to upgrading will be for laptop users. Mavericks will supposedly increase the Air's already insane battery life.

Probably until another major overhaul of OS X occurs. They have to make it look more similar to iOS 7 still.

The only reason XP is "worse" than 7 is because they stopped making driver support and things like that for it. And because they never gave it support for directx 10 and above. If it weren't for these things, I'd still be using it. 7 butchered so many things and is completely atrocious.

It wasn't that keen of an observation. I'm pretty sure a five year old would be able to come to the same conclusion.
