There are like ten results for wiki pages and then there is a flat earth general page. I didn't see the home page anywhere.

This is because the administration has still not fixed it.

Whilst John Davis will likely ban me for having the audacity to suggest as much, if he instead used those 4 or 5 mouse clicks to actually fix the site, it would be easier for people to find us.

This should not be responded to with quips like

How can the administration expect anything other than complaints when they neglect the site for months and months on end?

If you don't want to administrate, give up the position to allow someone who will. You aren't doing us any favours as much as your protest that your are.

Instead of spending the next 10 minutes constructing a furious indignant reply about how much time you put into the site and how generous you are and how the society is in your eternal debt ... instead use those 10 minutes to fix something. Even something small like Parsifal's spanners. And then post a link or explain in a line what you did.

Instead of getting yet another reply from me telling you to go f**k yourself, you are much more likely to get a thank you.

OMG I TOTALEY AGREE!! Ive been searching up flat earth society on google and I always have to go through Q&A. Prehaps I should bookmarking it lol

Google results are personalized. Not everyone gets the same results.

I meant in the address bar, not the google search bar.  I just type in "the" and the site link shows up from my history, so I just click that.

Modern browsers do this based on your browsing habits. It could be doing this behavior for a number of reasons. A bookmark, frequently visited site, frequently searched, etc... This has nothing to do with the popularity of the site.

I didn't say it did.  I was just addressing EJ's personal problem by saying he should be able to get to the forums through a few keystrokes and a click without going through Google and the Q & A.

It's missing at the moment.  A few weeks ago, we had an attack on the site that damaged that folder.  There's a working (and updated) version on the new server already, so I'm holding off on fixing the broken one here.  John has the forums on the new server nearly set up, so we'll be switching over soon (yes, I know you've all heard that before) and the broken version will be irrelevant.

It is almost November ... you have made 5 posts this year (none of them about earth's shape).

In case you didn't know, Parsifal has recently pushed the discussion of this site's issues forward by quite a lot. One of the main issues he identified (and I believe it's safe to say that what he stated is the general consensus on this website) is that you keep withholding information from us for no good reason. How about you at least give fixing that an honest try?

Work with us. Give us some details. What attack? Do you know how they accessed the server? What did they change that "damaged" the folder? How can it be so hard/time-consuming to restore it that you wouldn't mind weeks of downtime if it lets you put it off?

WOW its reley THE Daneil! What an honor to be with President (a profesion I desire greatley)! Anyway someone atacked our site?!! I hate how intolerent RErs are. They are in denial of basic facts so they atack our site. Truley disgusting. Samuel Shenton and Rowbatham are rolling in there graves right now

Well I can only imagine they are!

 As a child of four can (or Willmore) plainly see, the sacred scrolls have been hermetically sealed. They've been kept in a #2 mayonnaise jar on Funk and Wagnall's porch since noon today.
