Hello, Im new to the whole flat earth thing. I have a few...
« on: October 17, 2006, 11:58:32 AM »
I feel that this is a very interesting topic, with very interesting ideas. True, I have always believed the earth was round, only because I have not heard of otherwise until a co-worker informed me of your society. I did a little research of your beliefs and I still have a few quesstions if someone does not mind answering.

Question 1
If the earth is flat, how is it that you cant see the north star from below the equator?

Question 2
Posted elsewhere in this forum is the explanation of why no one has ever seen the great wall of ice due to govermental control of the borders. Now I was thinking, the Circumference is 78225 miles, with enough man power to have control of that much distance, why are there so many illegal imigrants entering US border from Mexico who's borders are only 1951 miles across?

Now that these questions are thrown out there, I dont want anyone to think that I am attacking them in anyway, or making fun of anyones beliefs. There were a few arguments for pro flat earth that actually made me begin to question my beliefs in a round earth and am now interested in this belief.

Thanks

The important thing is not that nobody has seen the ice wall, but that nobody with a large, well-funded, well-equipped expeditionary force has made it to the ice wall; collected evidence proving that it exists as described, that it's where it's supposed to be, and that the edge of the world lies beyond; and returned safely to civilization; and convinced a major, reputable press to publish its findings.

It's a lot easier to prevent such an expedition from succeeding than to prevent a few people from sneaking across the desert in the back of a truck.

As for manpower issues -- there's a thread on that someplace with some very generous calculations to determine just what manpower is necessary to guard the Wall.  It's a lot less than you'd think.

I do not understand your answer. Please clarify the answer for the first question. Since the stars are about as far as San Francisco is from Boston. (3100 miles) that should mean that you sjould beable

I have another question. I understand that Google Earth was already mentioned elsewhere in this forum, but I can see my house with google earth. The photos taken look very real. I try to stay out of the gleaming eye of our goverment so they have no reason to watch me or my suroundings. Yet they have a very detailed picture of my house. I am in the printing industry so I am very formiliar with photoshop and other design programs and the manipulation of photos and other art. With that said, I do not believe the photos are fake.

Thank you very much for responding to my last question.

I think this is more dissproving of FE theory. There probably isn't means to completely secure every point of a 78,000 mile border, but there doesn't need to be if theres no Ice Wall to guard.

Oh, come on...That isn't even being disputed anymore. FE has totally won the side on the amount of guards needed. First of all, you don't need all that many guys (there's a mathematical explanation describing an approximation somewhere around here--might even be in the FAQ now...), also who the heck goes to Antarctica? I mean, sure, if it was a well-traveled area, you might need more guards to keep people from traversing too far, but the place is desolate and hard to travel through at best and objectively merciless and nearly impossible to travel at worst. It's not really that hard to guard.

Does anyone have a good website with more information about proof for a flat earth? I may have some questions later.

I never knew it was not disputed anymore, so its ignored now, instead of being a huge point of contention.

I don't know how you could make such a sweeping statement as 'but the place is desolate and hard to travel through at best and objectivey merciless and nearly impossible to travel at worst. It's not really that hard to guard' about a place 78,000 miles in length. Its quite likely that some parts are reasonable conditions for travelling.

Its just simple odds, 78,000 miles is a hell of a long way to RE or FE'ers.

Instead of just guessing, try to do some reasonable calculations of what resources it would take to guard the ice wall.

« Reply #13 on: October 18, 2006, 12:58:24 PM »
Perhaps someone already came up with this idea, but I think its a good one. Why dont we get someone on the inside. WHy dont we have someone who is in the military, who believes in the idea of a Flat Earth, and have them find out how to become a Ice Wall guardand then report back to the FE community. I mean, the flat earth community is growing and Im sure someone from the military could fnd out more info on the subject. I think we need to get more substantial evidence proving the FE theory. Someone help me out with this.

that's unrealistic. with all that spending by the governments someone would notice something strange in their behavior. it would be a global (discal) logistical nightmare. not only do you have to feed these guards but they need to be rotated and need fuel for their snow mobiles as well as heating, communications, facilities, medical supplies and probably a million other things i can't think of right now.

Other planets might be round. I'm not sure. It really doesn't have anything to do with the shape of the earth, though.

If you want to know the reason for a given phenomenon, you have to compare it to something else.

1.Planets are planets.

2.Earth is a planet.

If you witness a liquid being heated and going from liquid to gas, you will want to observe what happens  when something with the same properties is subjected to the same situation. So you heat another liquid, and see that it also turns into a gas form, then you try with another and another.

At that point, if you find yet another liquid, assuming that it would go from liquid to gas when heated is much more logical than assuming it would turn into a solid.

I was merely pointing out that just because pictures and/or videos look real, it doesn't mean that they do, with examples that everyone knows. Personally, I love the planets' facades in Firefly more than anything, but about two percent of people on this forum would even know what I was talking about.

Flexgirl
You might try the link without the last slash -- http://freewebs.com/raacoz  ...and click on either Coz 1, Coz 2, Coz3, Coz 4, or Coz Five. ACTUALLY........................

Coz 1 = The Sun is up there. Its' crossing, daily, is controlled by heat and cold. Heat rises from beneath the earth (through and around it). Cold descends from the sky as a wind. The 2 together hold the sun. The sun is cold because it's cold up there. Just as a fish is cold blooded and lives in cold water and just as we are warm blooded in order to live in mild climates, so it seems that everything blends with its environment in order to exist. All heat rises, so therefore if the sun were hot then it would only be hot above it.

Water is level. There is not an example we can make to copy and prove that water can stay in a cavity of a ball and stay in it while it rolls in any form of space. Therefore from new york to england the atlantic ocean is flat. Look at water from any size, a cup to a bath to a pool to a lake to a river to a sea to an ocean = flat top!

We have been given 7 senses and the most important one is vision. Therefore look and decide with your own eyes; did you see the sun move from east to west today and did you see water in containment with a flat surface. The first person to tell you what's happening is yourself because your ears are made for reception and even when you are thinking it is your ears that allow you to hear yourself. So talk to yourself and make sense because the universe is The Natural Law.

Coz 2 = The sun moves to nearly the same spot, every 24 hours, but the same spot every 365 days. It rotates in a horizontal circle above the earths' surface. The source of movement is under the earth where Heat meets Water. The explosion (sound) is so loud that it travels through the infinitely large earth to the surface (here) where it has been muffled. Even language is made from these sounds, for example, pronounce a long "A"...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, or a long "S"...sssssssssss -"R"...rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr etc.

Coz 3 = No satelite, spaceship or any man-made machine or air-craft has flown higher than 15 miles. It is impossible because of the cold. All images are camera related only. At 15 miles there is too much wind and cold for any machine to maneuver.

Coz 4 = There is a large meteor cloud above us. Either 400, or 1400 or millions of miles up. This meteor cloud is made of an infinite amount of meteors and they all fly together in the Cold circle. As a matter of fact, the stars which we see every night are the little holes between the meteors. On the other side of the meteor cloud are celestial beings, sun-light and the realm of the celestial beings. Celestial beings are made mostly of light and that is why we see light through the meteor cloud.

In the day the meteor cloud is still there and still spinning. We see the sun through it, otherwise the sun-light would be too bright, but the celestial beings can live in it.

Coz Five = Only with this Law of the Universe can mankind figure anything out. Take for example the Doomsday rock which is coming, most people think that it will either hit the earth or just miss it, I am telling everyone that it will hit the earth no matter what because the surface of the earth extends to the Sky Line! Look at the United Nations flag, that is a flat-earth map on it, except that the south pole is inverted. The shore line of the antartic is actually the same but stretched in proportion around our living space and then if you travelled south you couldn't go more than a thousand miles south horizontally. You will notice also that there is not too much commerce south of the equator because it actually takes longer to get from one line to another on the south side of the equator than it does on the north side of the equator, but it seems that some people don't want the rest of humanity to know this. The antartic circle on the united nations flag is larger than the artic circle and this is the way it really is; REALLY! The round earth or globe shows them both the same size??? So so why are there not many ships sailing along the antartic circle??? It's warmer there??? Must be racism or distance???

I like your question about the North star, but my question is " Why isn't there much shipping and travelling south of the equator " ? ...And doen't say it's because we can't see the north star from there  :P
Everything, is in EMBRYO, not in mathematics.
Please look at the 1/4 moon when it's around at noon ; We cannot see anything between it and the sun.
