Why is the flat earth always protrayed as round?

Assuming the earth is flat, why is the planet suggested that it is a circular (or cynlindrical, whichever) object? why not an octagon or a square or some other shape with lots of sides? is there proof of this or is it just an assumption?

It wouldn't make sense otherwise. For example, if it were a square, it would take longer for you to get to Antarctica at some points (i.e. the corners), than it would for you to get there at other points (i.e. the centers of the sides). There are numerous other things that, with simple observation, we can see would not work with any other shape.

No one is denying the existence of Antartica.  It's just a matter of whether it's a circular body of land/ice at the 'bottom' of a spherical Earth or a ring-like body of land/ice around the perimeter of a flat Earth.  Round Earth subscribers believe the former while we Flat Earth subscribers believe the latter.

Well, it's funny though, if it's round on 2 dimensions, why not 3?

And why not 2?

If it was round in all three dimensions, it would be a sphere.

Where can we debate about exactly how round the Earth is? I demand a forum immediately.
