What is the reason?
« on: October 12, 2006, 09:59:15 PM »
Why do you believe the world is flat? Because it looks that way in photos? The photos which make the Earth seem flat show only some of the continents anyway. And you still haven't explained the motives. Why in the world would they have a reason to cover this up?

Are you saying that WWII was a hoax?

You're basically that is denying at least every war in the last millenium. Are you saying that war just stopped? Was World War II a hoax? Did Stalin, Hitler, FDR, Churchill, and whoever the hell was in Japan just sit down and plan out a war to try to distract the world from a truth that wouldn't even hurt them in the slightest? Basically, you're denying the Holocaust too, since they must have just been a publicity stunt that would give the westerners a motive to fight the Axis. '

And why would Nasa go to all this trouble just to make people think that the Earth is round? From a hypothetical standpoint, what does brainwashing the people possibly do for the government? How do they gain by having the whole world believing a false notion?

You waste all this time making a website and FAQ, detailed diagrams, and all this other crap, but you can't even think up ONE possible motive? It's simple. There is no possible motive, because a motive is impossible. Therefore, you have no reason to believe in it.

Aliens made the government do it. This motive is extremely plausible and logical.

Aliens from where? Where exactly do these aliens live? I thought that the stars were all just small little specks in the sky, and that NASA images of stars were made in photoshop.

Outer space, I assume. Perhaps there is another world traveling parallel to our own.

With its own sun, moon, and tiny stars? I doubt it. Wouldn't we be able to see this disk across from us? Along with the undersides of their sun and moon?  Or would they be below us? In which case, they must have used space travel to come here. But according to your theory, they can't!

This is incorrect.

According to our theory, we don't. No where in FE canon does it say space travel is impossible.

It's beside the point. Remember, the theory states that this is a government conspiracy. So what motives do they have? It goes back to what I was saying.

your initial post is nonsense NO. war over resources and idiology are perfectly acceptable in FE theory,  its plauseable that infact the REAL leaders of the conspiracy are not directly involved in goverment but have significant enough influence to make sure it doesnt get close to the truth.  thus a war such as world war two would be perfectly acceptable both for the government to follow idiologies and resources AND acceptable for the conspiracy leaders as it keeps peoples mind of the shape of the earth.

 :D
quote="diegodraw"]you never mentioned anything about antagonizing naive idiots who have reason to believe they should defend what everyone already knows is logical....Not like anybody would ever have fun doing that, of course[/quote]
