just done this today, was rather proud so i thought id share it on the interwebs with you all. this is the second car i have rebuilt. just needs a new nitro engine and some chassis supports. if anyone knows much about .21 nitro engines for about £100 give me a shout.



oh and the bit in between :)

I have a Blade 130x, but it's an electric helicopter which is about as far as you can get from what you have. I don't know much about nitro cars..

Looks pretty cool though. Video of it driving?

Dynamite Mach 2 or Werks Racing Team Line B2... Heard good things re latter... Never used either as I'm quite happy with a brushless and Lipo... Get more than enough speed running a Mamba SCT, and 2s lipo in my Losi xxx-sct, bot nowhere near the set up I got in my Schumacher mi1

I got a axial wraith too. If electric floats your boat.  I love the mamba esc and have one too. Put a mamba max pro in it.  Dropped 3s in it too mwhahaha. Made it a rock racer and not a crawler now and it drives like a traxxas e-max. Has a tekkin gen2 running that. But I finished that project a while ago and needed something new.

Aircraft just don't appeal to me as much. Expensive to crash too lol.

Started to machine all aluminium parts for my xxx sct... Bought aluminium parts are too expensive and feel like a rip off, and also just not as fun to do... Shock towers looking good, but only got that far cause of work and also blowing my budget on a home stereo...

Any decent suggestions for a nitro kit, sun £750? No RTR, that aint fun...

I'd get a losi 8 or inferno mp9 personally. Also have you tried Asiatees? I got my wraith and kyosho aluminium parts from there. They fit well and are great prices.

What's wrong with pink?

for the record i dont drink monster or think its cool. i dont even drink caffeinated drinks. it was simply for looks.

@ geepun92 apart from the alu shell thats all topcad stuff from aisatees. that car took a massive stack and nothing broke but the cheap servo i bought. hopefully that savox high torque servo has more longevity.
roll on summer i say!

Just had a look at some of the stuff, well priced, however being in South Africa the exchange rate is a bag of balls... But suppose can justify it somehow... How does the stuff last? My uncle got traxxas alu parts, broke a wishbone with in 30 mins on his rustler vxl just going over a few smallish jumps...

Losi8 is what I was thinking, but losi parts are mysteriously hard to find in my area and when u do they overpriced... Kinda thinking of getting rid of the xxx sct and finding a different short course truck... Team Associated ones is very decent

Color is the single most important part. Also, accessorize. Maybe get some rhinestones.

i was gonna cut up a barbie torso and stick it on the front, but i didnt think it would last long.

the red nitro was the pink one. It didnt stay pink for long.

I know a fair few have seen it but it is saying 2 views. Not sure why. I been hooked on these for about a year and a half now. Just a bit of a money drain. Im just buying a house and I will have a baby next year, I hope I can still afford to do it.

Ah the good old smell of nitro fuel. My main memory of it being the awful rubbery goo it turns into after a while if you don't scrub every last bit of residue out the engine before storing it away.

Currently have this crappy wee electric truggy thing made my Annsman. Decent enough chassis, 4WD and all, but I can only afford a godawful stock brushed motor at the moment so I think it'd go faster if I blew on it. One day I'll have brushless.....

Get yourself a second hand vxl combo or something. Upgrading to brushless is affordable if you shop about.
