Why a Flat Earth?
« on: October 12, 2006, 04:07:44 PM »
So, as many complaints and questions that your orginization gets, I just wante to ask a few questions, and make a few points.  Your theory is very interesting to me.

Just a question though.  Let's say that the earth was flat and scientists just made up the whole theory.  Don't you think that there is a strong possibility that one of these guys would come forth and talk about it after all these years?  Do these astronomers make the (fake) astronauts never tell anyone?  If so, how do they make them?  Do they bribe them?  And even if they did, why would they spend so much money just to make a simple lie, that doesn't really matter for our human existence?

Another little question.  How deep would this flat earth be?  Why I ask is scientists say that there is a core in the earth.  Full of magma or whatever and other things.  How did volcanoes come to be?  (Note:  This question does not have to do with questioning your theory)

Something else I'd like to point out.  I heard that you believe that everyone is going to hell that does not belive the earth is flat.  So, lets say someone never heard about the earth being flat, never even heard the theory.  Why would they go to hell?

This question has been asked at least a thousand times.
I still haven't seen an answer.

Because whoever said that is stupid.

Clearly there are people who know the truth and have talked about it.  That's why this forum exists.  Obviously, because the conspiracy is soooooo good, people who claim the Earth is flat are immediatly written off as being crazy.  Maybe some of the people who try to talk about the conspiracy are killed but the majority can be left to their own devices.

I actually thought it was because the creator looked outside and saw that the Earth looked flat.

Ok, now just tell me why the government would care about keeping this a secret.

If it were a joke would we tell you, or just continue laughing at all the people who take it seriously?

If we knew why the government were keeping the reason for the round earth lie secret it wouldn't be a secret.  Of course we don't know it's the "government" who are part of the conspiracy.  Obviously some parts of some governments must be in on it but there could be plenty of people in the government who remain in the dark.

If the earth is in fact flat, then I think the people saying it is round would be the insane ones, I could be wrong though.  There was a saying that whenever there is some kind of movement, the majority is wrong.  For example slavery, but on to other things.
Ok, so you don't know why they would keep this secret.  You just know they do.  Maybe you could think of listing all of the reasons you think they would.  It might draw more people's attention.  One said it was for money, that made no since whatsoever..... I think that'd be the only reason why anyone would think about making a lie this big.  That, or they are hiding something on one of the edges of the earth.
Maybe it's a organization similar to the U.N. only they are planning on killing everyone to start a new organization.  If this was true, I think it would be possible for them to keep this secret without telling everyone the earth was flat.  That, and if it was something like this, the plan has been going on for a long time.
Then, there are movies like "March of the Penguins," was that whole thing just staged?  Maybe someone should go down to Antartica until the very edge of the earth, and film it.  Unless there are lots of troopers down there guarding it for some reason.  If that's the case, that would be a huge question still going on today.

Well obviously the big reason seems to be power.  People who say "money" don't know what money is.

But I guess you could look at it a bit deeper.  Do they tell us that the world is round so they can keep their power or do they get away with it because they have so much power.  It would be nice to think the former but I think much more likely it is the latter and even if they told us the truth, they would still have complete power.  That would suggest that the actual reason for them telling us the world is round is some game or experiment with us.  It could be a lie to make us feel happier about our existence or it could be a joke or it could be a test to see how we react.  There are a lot of different possibilities and we have no way of working out which is true (at the moment).  Considering how convincing the round Earth lies are, it would seem that the amount of trouble gone to it would mean it is a serious motive and also that they have complete power over us.  That said, we obviously find it very hard to comprehend just how powerful the conspirators are.  Maybe this kind of global conspiracy is easy for them.  Maybe we're actually like a reality tv show and it gets them a great deal of money even though it seems pointless?  I mean we can speculate as much as we like but I don't really think it brings us closer to the truth.

Seriously, instead of brooding more and more theories into this, why dont you actually go out there and do a bit of your own research? Travel a bit, climb a tall building, ease off the drugs, and you'll probably find that its all a load of shit.

Or, stay on this forum, and keep laughing at the arguments. Because im fairly sure you guys are doing this as a big piss-take, and shit, i dont think i could come up with a better joke website unless i was so heavily bent i couldnt see straight. Its gold. I'm certainly laughing.
f you seriously believe that the Earth is flat, go get a CAT scan and book yourself in for some good ol' immediate Endoscopic Brain Tumor Surgery.

otherwise, its a great joke you have going

You have to understand that everything that contradicts the flat earth theory is part of the conspiracy, yes even physics and the relativity theory and satellite tv.

Physics and relativity are both integral parts of the FE theory, it in no way contradicts them.

Yes, invisible ice that can't melt and can support more weight than a skyscrapper's foundation is perfectly fine with physics.

How about providing some math to back up your claims?

Phaseshifter, I am still awaiting your mathmatical demonstration as to why the ice wall is the closest thing to the sun, supports more weight than the foundation of a skyscraper, and interacts with the aurora.

Well, the ice sheet that your RE scientists claim covers Antarctica is is some places 2.5 kilometers thick -- that's fifty times thicker than the Ice Wall.  If the Ice Wall can't support that much weight, neither can your glaciers.

Antartica is not a wall, it doesn't go very high above sea level. On a flat shaped object, the weight is distributed pretty much evenly. YOU of all people should know that. So there is no single point where the ice supports significantly more weight than at another point. On a tall wall however, the weight is NOT evenly distributed, the higher it is, the more stress is put on the bottom. This is not hard to deduce and I really don't see the point in comparing the 2. And by the way, antartica isn't invisible, and it's ice is not unaffected by heat.

I didn't "react" because the question engineer was asking is something that is obvious and doesn't need to be explained. Erasmus kows what I was talking about and made his counterargument about antartica supporting it's own weight. I already told engineer that I would not waste my time explaining everything to him. Obviously, he didn't even realise that I never reply to what he says. Anyone else would have noticed by now, but until now, I'm pretty sure he thought it was because I had no answer and he was so smart.

How dumb would a person have to be to NOT figure out that the taller an object is, the closer it is to a sun that is always above them, and therefore, the tallest objects are the closest? A child would understand that without any explanations.

You claimed the ice wall was the closest thing to the sun.  This is not obvious, I would like to see your math to explain it, as my math doesn't agree.  Your claim that a 150ft tall ice wall supports more weight than a skyscraper is also not intuitive, so I would like to see your math.  Your claim is not specific, as the entire ice wall will support more weight than one skyscraper's foundation, but per square foot, it will not.  I am also curious as to how the ice wall interacts with the aurora, as this is also not obvious.

I know you don't like to be wrong, but you always are.  So if you are going to make claims, be prepared to back them up.

How dumb would a person have to be to NOT figure out that the sun does not orbit directly over the ice wall.  It says so in the FAQ!
