#" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">NUCLEAR CANNON

seen this thing?

how come they can have close up footage of the school bus and the willys overland being destroyed by the heat and shock, but the cameras seem to be unaffected?

the perspective on the trees and landscapes seem to be telephoto, but not the vehicles.

why aren't the cameras even jiggled?

well, i can't figure it out.

with all that force blowing the vehicles around, i'd expect some jumpiness in the footage.

Better still, if you enlarge the video and get to the point of the cannon firing, you will notice that no projectile comes out of it.
What we have here boys, is a case of magical missiles.
Keep fast pausing from the 12 second mark and you see...or should I say "not see."

well, you're right, i can't see it. but i wouldn't necessarily condemn them for that. a cannon shell is going to be going pretty fast, and this old celluloid film isn't the highest quality.

the only time i've ever seen cannon projectiles on film is in old german footage where they were filming down the barrel of a howitzer shooting down a straight road at a line of soviet T34 tanks. you could see the shell travel down the road because it was in line with the lens, and it imaged on more frames. but even then it was in view for only a split second.

The buggers, they have me all ends up. I'm convinced in Nukes now.  ;D
I bet in those days, you got some idiots thinking that was just a gun torch, until the little kid fired it at them and gave them all a sun burn they'd never forget.
