It turns out I was invited to that beta stress-test a while ago and didn't find the e-mail until it was too late. Bummer.

I'm not pretending it's not an MMO.  I'm just saying that when it comes to my personal appreciation and interpretation of the lore or story, I don't take the idiosyncrasies of other players into account.  For example, if I beat someone in PvP, I might interpret that simply as me fighting and killing an enemy Dunmer warrior.  I'm not going to note that this Dunmer had brown eyes for some reason, or was unusually conventionally attractive, just like I wouldn't bother trying to rationalize into the story the fact that he let out a battle cry of "LOL suk my c0ck u n00b!"
That's not a 'battle cry' it's a gay mating call.

In other words, stop playing gay-mes. You're wasting yer lief sohn, WAESTEIN EIT OWL AWEEYY!!
We shall have a magnificent orgy garden party & you're not invited

Am I understanding the gameplay right?  A single faction would have to control ALL the territories around the imperial city in order to attack it?

So did I. I am so very unexcited.

However, I suppose I'll try it out one of the days.

Well, I started the opening level. Got some of the way through it but was too lazy to bother finishing it. I'll need to give it more of a try another time, I was too bored.

It's alright so far.  Nothing super impressive yet, but I'm not very far in and quitting for the night since servers keep going down.  I do like that they have held to ES fashion and allow you to equip anything and everything you want.

The dungeon system needs a lot of work, it is basically an aoe fest right now with no real mob control and you pull one you get the room.   It is also difficult to target a specific creature in a pack.

The pvp was pretty fun, it was a scale war with the faction fighting for Cryodiil. It was pretty cool to see the forts for what they were originally instead of as ruins.

If it came out today, I don't think I'd buy it, but they have plenty of time to make changes.

Has anyone checked how Skyrim looks compared to TES:V? Everything in the right place?

I only got to explore Bleakrock in Skyrim. I think they have an interactive map out on the website though.

Not much tbh. You can only do "kill 6 of these for this item" a limited number of ways.  The skills are more like Diablo in that you have to pick a limited number.

What is the end game? Are dungeon groups designed around the trinity?

I'm not sure what the end game is going to be like, but I think it'll be based around one of the daedric gods.  As far as lore goes, the quest text was still being refined based on the text not matching the voice.

They meant Skyrim's geography in TESO compared to its geography in TES:V.

According to an info site I read, after a faction gains control of the Imperial City, players can continue with a quest to launch an attack against Mehrunes Dagon, the one trying to reel Tamriel into Cold Harbor.
