I don't know how we can really work this in, but I wanted to suggest adjusting the rules to be more like the table top card game "Bang". One player is the Sheriff, and that's the only player we know the identity. Another is the Sheriff's depute (and with more than 6 players there can be 2 deputes), and the rest are either bandits or renegades, all chosen at random by the GM. Obviously the bandits are supposed to try to kill the sheriff and the depute(s), and the renegades can either choose to side with the bandits or the law (for example in a game with 5 people, there's 1 Sheriff, 1 Depute, 2 Bandits, and 1 Renegade). Game is over when either the bandits are dead or all of the law are dead. Though I believe also the renegades can also choose to change allegiance at the end of the game and try to take the whole win themselves.
Obviously nobody knows who is who, other than the Sheriff, so it could take a while figuring out who is who. Not sure how we'd go about deciding who gets to act and when though, is the main problem I can think of. Also, in the card game you can get random items to help so I don't know how we could go about incorporating that kind of thing either.
Either way just thought I'd make the suggestion, could add some flavor to the game other than just being a western themed Werewolf game.
