Plus, the death star would destroy the entire planet, not just Iran.

So would dropping a nuke on every square mile of Iran.  What's your point?

??? No it wouldn't.

Have you never heard of nuclear fallout and nuclear winter?

Which would not destroy an entire planet, it would just make the surface uninhabitable.

If America got a Death Star the first thing we'd do is aim for Iran.

Silly, why would we need a death star to do that? We have enough nukes to put one on every square mile of Iran and still have some left over for a party with Russia and China.
Because the use of nuclear weapons are banned but the use of a super laser from orbit isn't.

The use of any weapons of mass destruction in space is banned. I think that a planet destroying laser qualifies.

I don't recall the Force ever doing anything remotely close to destroying a planet. Antibiotics could stop the Force.

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

This would not have happened if Mitt had won.

Oh yeah, but they'll mothball half the fleet to save money, or put them on "extended readiness", which is HMAF code for storage. That way they can sail against Argentina a few years from now.

On a serious note, it is amazing how when it comes to defence, British conservatives are a lot more faithful to anti-state conservative values than American conservatives are. It's an odd one.
