i don't know, there could possibly be another element that exists on the moon that can sustain life the way oxygen can but we haven't discovered it yet

we probably would have known if there was a new element on the moon

Elements are defined by the number of protons.  We have found all the naturally occurring ones & synthesised others so we have a complete list from 1 to 118.  All the elements over 109 have half lives you need a stopwatch to measure, and the higher you go, the less stable it is.  These are generally made in particle acellerators.

The terminator of lightness and dark often draws a line straight from the southern tip of South America all the way across the Earth to Australia. 

This means the sun frequently lights up places that are on complete opposite ends of the Earth.
This has been proven in this thread through the available webcams in each country.

I asked the @flatearthtoday twitter person of why this occurs and the response was 'Aetheric edification'.

This thread is the most I could get out of this board for an explanation of that.
