this is a whole new branch of physics where some forces apply to some stellar objects and not to other and vice-versa.

care to explain, tom?

Tell me Tom, what forces cause celestial objects to be round and why would they not affect the earth?

The earth is not a celestial object. Whatever forces are affecting the celestial bodies are not affecting the earth to any appreciable degree, as the earth is not a celestial body.

What about the UA?  Does that force not affect both the earth and the celestial bodies?

Perhaps those forces are affecting the Earth to a degree, but, since the Earth is infinite, the effects are too small to be noticeable. You cannot bend the edges of the world to form a sphere because the world is infinite, and thus has no edges. I think Tom is trying to say that certain forces, when applied to a single pebble, may destroy said pebble, but the same amount of force, applied the same way, would not destroy an entire mountain. Thus, the forces do not "act" the same way with mountains.
We had Dumber (spectimatic), whe have now Dumber (science).
I, for one, do not think that science is dumb.
