Antarctica mapping
« on: November 17, 2012, 03:53:36 PM »
Lots of people go to antarctica. You can go in expeditions to the south pole and antarctica yourself. Is everybody that's ever claimed to have boon there a part of the conspiracy? Because that's like hundreds, probably thousands of people.

No, they are simply misinformed about Antarctica's shape.  Before people had the Americas completely mapped out, explorers and pioneers went there.  Just because they were misinformed or didn't know the true shape of it does not mean that they didn't go there.

This is a map of antarctica, from google images, RET accurate.

Now, say I start at the Ross Ice shelf and walk straight across the continent to Queen Maud Land. Say this takes about a day on a snowmobile (This is not accurate, but I doesn't need to be accurate, just an arbitrary amount of time.) Te, take this FE map that you use all the time here:

Were you to travel again, from any point to the one cross the continent from it, as we have done, It would certainly not take the same amount of time. In fact you would have to go in a completely new direction. How can you explain the difference between your predictions and the observations made by explorers and the like?

Please refer to Willmores more Zetetic map where Anatarctica is a separate continent.

How can it be a more Zetetic map if you haven't directly observed Antarctica for yourself?

Please refer to Willmores more Zetetic map where Anatarctica is a separate continent.

Thats pretty silly. It shows my country Tasmania ( Australia ) a world away from Antarctica.

In fact, lots of boats travel to Tasmania as a final 'step off' to Antarctica, and there are regular expeditions that take 4 days.

If Antarctica 'lived' at the bottom of South America  http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php/topic,54320.0.html#.UKnt3Ge1nwk

it would take much longer.

So you are saying the FAQ map  is more plausible? With is 60,000 km ice wall ???

Not as plausible as as a globe anyway.

They love being "more Zetetic" but not actually ever doing the definitive observations.

Being a Zetetic is not about just trusting your eyes, it is about trusting all your senses.

Being a Zetetic is not about just trusting your eyes, it is about trusting all your senses.

Assuming your senses ( including logic, reasoning ) are actually working properly. As far as eyes go, please feel free to explain  the horizon effect at

Also, I notice you cant explain how the Antarctic continent moved thousands of miles away from my home, even though it only takes 4 days for real polar explorers to get there by boat.

So what senses have you used to directly observe Antarctica
