This thread has gotten out of control.

Does anyone claim this photograph is evidence of a conspiracy?
It is evidence of lies. The rover did not take it's own picture, someone else did. Therefore the rover is not on Mars, and NASA lies.

no credible evidence has ever been proven against a NASA conspiracy.

If the rover didn't take the picture, and someone else did, where is the person's feet and shadow?  And why does the mount for the arm on which the camera is attached have a blurry cut through it, while the arm itself is no-where to be seen?

There is something that maybe I wasn't clear about that seems to be confusing many prople. NASA didn't leak this photo to the public, the guy/girl working on the fake curiosity project leaked, accidentally or not, to the rest of NASA. By the time the photo got around it was too late and NASA had to release it as a "composite" photo to the public.

Shall I link the full-size image?  You know there are 55 pictures that "leaked" before this one picture...

Picture too big

I bet the confusion is because some of you can't see any flaws. The rover looks complete. However, with careful inspection you can see the overlap area, and you can also find the original pictures with parts that they edited out.

Aha!  You can see the shadow of the camera, to the top and left of the nearest wheel.  There are no shadows leading away from it.  You can see from the sundial that the sun is almost directly overheard, meaning that if there was a person taking this picture, you'd see the feet near that shadow.

Furthermore, it would be absurd to think any team of hoaxers would be so stupid as to allow anyone on site lest they leave footprints behind.  It really isn't hard to see that these people, whether professional hoaxers or scientists, know how to do some clever things with this robot and some simple editing techniques - i.e. polygonal marquis tool plus copy and paste, and faded edge.  It is not a complicated trick.

What lies? What is the evidence?

The Rover can and did take it's own picture.
Prove that it could/did not.

Quote
Once the rover transmitted the images back to Earth, Ravine and a coworker set out to make a mosaic compilation of them. There were challenges galore, but none quite so great as getting the long arm of the rover out of the picture.  A close look at the final image shows the "shoulder" of the robotic arm on the front of the rover. But the rest of the five-jointed appendage has been removed and replaced by pixels from other frames that showed the ground or the rover behind the arm.

"Actually, there weren't that many images with the arm in them because of how we positioned the arm," Ravine explained. "It's like if you hold a camera out in front of you with your elbow crooked and shoot—what you'll probably get is your face and top of your body including your shoulder, but most of your arm is out of the frame."
Also, the people on your websites are specifically framing their claims, not to learn the truth of the matter, but because they want to "debunk" Apollo Hoax claims --

I think I've found the culprit who may have took this picture of the Mars rover.

Now when you click on this site, you need to make it full size using the options at the bottom right.
Once you've done that....magnify it and then move the slider to the far left of the screen.

Now move the right side slider up to half way .
If you have done this correctly...
Look over to the left side of the picture a few inches in from the side and a few from the bottom and you should see a rodent of whatever description it is...maybe someone can identify the type of rodent it is.

Look closely, it's there and it's definitely a rodent.
So.......... Mars either has life or this is a picture taken on Earth.

You decide.
http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/msl/multimedia/pia16204.html
I don't see a rodent there.

I don't know if you have seen this website before, it has cool stuff on it.

I'll have a look, see if I can identify it by looking through American rodents.
You should be able to narrow it down pretty quick - just look for the ones that have no legs and look just like a rock.

That's because it is a rodent.
The only problem is, can someone identify it.
Anyone who lives in America, maybe Nevada or similar places where Mars is filmed.

I'll have a look, see if I can identify it by looking through American rodents.

Make sure to check for rodents with tiny legs growing out of it's neck

That is a rock, you know it and everyone else does, but I will try to help you to be honest with yourself.

Look at the two rocks I drew on the right side.

They both have the same shape in the drawing, but judging by the shadows we know if they were real representations of rocks, in a 3d world they would not have the same shape, the right end of the right rock is not touching the ground, by the shadow we can say that part of the rock is kind of like a peak. The left rock's shadow is bordering the right end of the rock, so we know the end is wide and all of it is touching the floor.
Now look at the rock that looks like a mouse, try guessing its shape based on its shadow.

The rodent is laying on it's belly.

And it's front legs appear to be attached just behind the chin

Notice the difference between a rat & your rock - particularly around the shoulder area

I disagree entirely.  It's a valid example of how rocks can take the appearance of everyday objects.

It may be a bit near the knuckle, but it was Friday evening and I was on an internet forum - such is my wild & exciting life.

These experiments would be done in the South Pole anyway so there will be no rodents there.

It does look an awful lot like a vole of somekind. It may be a rock, but I'd hardly be surprised if it were some denizen of the Atacama or Namib.

What experiments?

moon/mars landings. doing it in antarctica is the safest bet. there is little life and no humans to see it. also the deserts in antarctica closely resemble the moon or a with a filter, mars.

I suppose "filming" would be a better replacement for "experiments"
