As I understand it, those libraries are specific to my video card and are installed by my video driver installation. And the fix is to install the 32 bit version of my drivers.

So yes, that's why I said drivers.

You aren't using Mesa? ???

Can't say. I didn't specifically install it as nothing said I needed to.

So yeah, apparently it's installed but the library doesn't exist.  Yay me!

Gross. I bet you read manga in class like other student laptop creepers. Don't be fooled, we notice you and your unwashed hair.

Yeah... linux hates me.

Here's how you can find which package you need to install to get that file:

steven@vader:~$ apt-file -l search libGL.so.1
libgl1-fglrx-glx
libgl1-fglrx-legacy-glx
libgl1-mesa-glx
libgl1-mesa-glx-dbg
libgl1-mesa-swx11
libgl1-mesa-swx11-dbg
libgl1-nvidia-glx
libgl1-nvidia-legacy-173xx-glx
libgl1-nvidia-legacy-96xx-glx

Pick any of the package names returned. I use libgl1-mesa-glx, as the best open-source option available. Ignore the dbg packages, they contain debugging symbols that are only useful if you're trying to fix bugs.

You may need to install apt-file before this works.

Thork, that is your Mac mini setup? How do you like the trackball mouse? I could never get used to them.

Yeah, that's the mac mini running both monitors.

As for the trackerball, it took a while to get used to (maybe a week of persevering), but I'd never go back to a mouse now. Way easier to use (my MS Paint skills improved dramatically as its much easier to draw).

I wouldn't recommend to anyone who likes playing mouse based games. Using that you will be shot in the face 30 times before you return fire. But for browsing, drawing and general use, I'd recommend. Especially for long periods. Very easy on the wrists and fingers. As I say, very accurate, but you can't slew it across the screen really fast to kill a bad guy.

I seem to do fairly well.  Mine is a far superior design though.

Of course, why it's nearly $500 is beyond me.  I got mine for like $20.

I've gotten used it.... have come to even prefer the fresh air.

Kinda cold though in the winter, and the wind plays havoc with any papers.  When's global warming going to really kick in?
