ONE question SERIOUS Question

As a world class pilot. I have flown in a straight line. LA to egypt to Guam To LA again. Going one direction one line. If the earth was flat why did i not vanish off into space. You are all truly ignorant and need to go clean your bathrooms with bleach and ammonia immediately.

The flat earth ppl will say that you are just circumnavigate around the flat earth under the Ice Wall model.

You have to fly through the south pole and then back to north pole to proof them the earth is round. But if you did that, you will be part of the global government consipiracy trying to hide the fact that the earth is flat.

LA is ~34N, Egypt is ~30N, and Guam is ~13.5N

Do tell me how you managed to fly in a straight line between these place while also making a round trip. Even if the Earth was round, you'd end up in South America, not LA

Pretty much this. Unless you miss Guam by a lot you cant get to Egypt without turning a bit north.

Why can't you just accept what is in front of you without having to imagine some mistake has been made? The guy is a world class pilot. He obviously knows what he is talking about. If he says a straight line, then that is undoubtedly what he means. He deals with technical language all day long, so he's not likely to make an error like you suggest. He has been precise and specific with his description. As damning as that is for RET, those are just the facts.

Thork, when one pilots an aircraft in a straight trajectory. Do you have to keep navigating downward in order to keep the altitude constant? It seems if you flew on a straight course at level with the ground, that you would end up flying away from the RE thus increasing you altitude. Do pilots allow for this? Or do the get to their altitude and fly straight?

It receives no attention on TFES because the likes of Markjo will bury it in stupid questions. It receives no attention in general because most people don't really care what shape the earth is. Its not their biggest worry.

Are you aware of a website showing how a pilot should fly in this manner. My wife may believe FE if there is an easy explanation , one that tells pilots to keep the plane level and go straight.
