I always called it warm fuzzies. It has never felt like my brain or head was having an orgasm, it's just a pleasant tingly feeling that sometime travels down the back of my head. Kinda like when your hair stands on end, but without any anxiousness. It sometimes happens when I hear someone else talking on the phone (not talking to me on the phone), I don't really pay attention to what they're saying, it's just the tone of voice.
I'm sorry. Am I to understand that when you have a boner you like to imagine punching the shit out of Tom Bishop? That's disgusting.

Sometimes I feel that when I'm sitting still and doing nothing.  And sometimes I feel it when I'm reading, or playing video games, or running, or doing pretty much any arbitrary activity.

No, it's different. Have you ever taken any medicine that made your scalp tingle?

You could actually say it is sort of like chills, but without the physical response, just the mental one. It is just a general positive feeling that makes you feel, for lack of a better term, hypnotized. It is usually certain people's voices that do it to me, but only when they're not talking directly to me, such as lectures, TV shows, or a side conversation I'm not personally involved in. Do you ever find yourself listening to someone's voice, but not actually listening to what they say?

Is it actually a physical feeling? I wish it were possible to demonstrate feelings. Can you get it with music? Because I've got moments with music where everything just feels perfect and it almost feels physically and mentally...I don't want to say "orgasmic", but it is a really strong feeling that just really feels good. But I don't know if that's ASMR or just an emotional response because I love music. Since I usually feel all choked up and just ajfksdljf too.

And no, I never find myself doing that. But then I don't really watch TV or anything.

It isn't really a physical feeling. Its just a mental liking of the situation. Certain types of music have done it to me, but only slow relaxing music. Anything with a high tempo, as far as I know, can't cause it. I'm trying to think of a better way to describe it, but I wouldn't really say its "orgasmic."

Well if it's really that simple, then I think I've felt that a lot with music. I thought it was some specific feeling that occurs within a specific set of criteria. #" class="bbc_link" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">This song is one of the most notable examples...well, the whole album, but it closes with that and I just felt euphoric and all fuzzy and happy in my head.

That's not what they're talking about.  It's like a tingling in the scalp.  Like when you take a pee and get that pleasant kind of shivery sensation up your spine, except in the head.
Where did you educate the biology, in toulet?

I'd say that is, or at least close to, the feeling I was attempting to describe. The science of perceived feelings is always fuzzy because you can never experience the perception of multiple persons. We can't even verify that every human mind views colors the same way.

We can in fact verify that not every human mind views colors the same way.

I think you are talking about SSRI withdrawl? No? That I am pretty sure is a little different.

You said you get it right down your spine. Me too, and it's more like a either a warm sensation or a dry chill of sorts, mostly in the shape of a triangle. The wiki claims one of the chakras is right on the back in the shape of a triangle.

Then there is Synesthesia. Did anyone mention that yet? That's something different too possibly, but probably not...

In any event here is another ASMR trigger video. It's pretty good, jmo... #" class="bbc_link" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Tapping & Scratching *ASMR TRIGGER*

I probably should have been more specific. I wasn't referring to color blindness or quadrochromats, I meant the actual perception of the color. For example, I know what blue looks like to me, but I will never know what blue looks like to you. As in, the actual perception of blue as compared relatively to its surroundings. No one can describe blue as anything other than what it is and since it exists solely in the human mind, it can only be described as blue.

Thus, we really can't verify it positively or negatively.

I can see how the footsteps in that song might give you that feeling. That was really nice.

Good evening, I haven't been posting very much because work is being unpleasant to me and I'm stressed.

Anyway.... This thread is the biggest pile of cock I've seen in weeks.  Absolutely nothing happened.  No wonder the ASMR page was removed from Wikipedia. If you are feeling anything in your head it's probably lice. FFS this is a fad.  You won't find it in any science journal because  its called arousal. Yes, thats right, being turned on by a f**king paintbrush. That blond bird did it for me, by jingo. You people should just knock one out and have done with it. Purverts the lot of you.  Next you'll saying that breasts make you dizzy and then eventually form a "boobs make me feel f**king odd, isn't it strange" movement and have that page taken down from Wikipedia.

I haven't performed it and I've never claimed to. I've have trouble being in two places at the same time.

Possibly this is true.  Maybe it's not exactly arousal, but I think a lot of this is just sort of basic stimulation, and the people trying to raise awareness of it don't understand the science involved and think they've stumbled onto this incredible new thing.

You don't have to have a boner to be aroused
