$200,000 for going into space. Any FEer interested? Anybody to deny what the 529 space tourists are gonna say or show when they are back?

At the edge of the atmosphere you are looking down at a circle.

At the edge of the atmosphere you are looking down at a circle.

And amazingly you're always at the center of it, no matter where you are.  Now what kind of shape do we need for that to be possible?
If you focus on the cloud, and conceive of it just as you would a dream you are trying to interpret, with practice its meanings and memories will be revealed to you.

How many times do I have to tell you this: in RET, you look down at a circle who you are the center of, in FET, unless you are over the North Pole, you don not see a perfect circle.
Therefore your explanation doesn't work in FET.

I've always noted that camera shots from amateur high altitude balloons at the edge of the atmosphere show an elliptical horizon.

You're not answering and you're mistaken lense distorsion with shape of the horizon.

So if lens distortion is messing up these images, how can we know that the curvature of the earth is a perfect circle?  ???

1. You're assuming that all lenses distort the horizon.
2. You conveniently forget that if there's a distorsion, it should apply in every direction.
3. You're not giving an answer for FET: if you are ver the Earth, very near the rim, on one side you should see the curvature of the rim, on the other a very faraway (if any) curvature. It is not the case.

Why is it not the case? Have you been to the edge of the atmosphere lately? Look at the curvature seen from a high altitude dirigible amateurs occasionally put up. It's elliptical and inconsistent with a round earth.

1. You're assuming, as usual
2. You forgot this point.
3. You're not answering.
4. I don't need to go into space to lecture you on basic geometry: what's the difference between being over a sphere or a circle?

Because I've never seen an example where the observer isn't.  Feel free to provide an example where this doesn't appear to be the case if you don't think this is so.

I just went to space and saw the Earth was flat. Now, if you do not believe my previous sentence, please tell me why you discount my testimony but accept that of those claiming they went to space and saw a round earth.

I wish I had $200k. Seems like an awful low price to go to space.

Maybe because you have no proof you went to space? No documentation, no showing of what country tolk you up, what time your launch was, was your launch in the news? what did you go to space for? how long where you there? did you work on the ISS?

I accept what an astronaut discribes because they have actual evidence.

What, no! I sincerely hope none of my fellow FE'ers would accept evidence just because it came from me.

Ah, so a fake new article is enough burden of proof for you to accept one scientific theory over another. Got it.

in FET, unless you are over the North Pole, you don not see a perfect circle.

How long have you been here now and you still don't understand the FE model? How can you even effectively argue against it?  The earth looks like a perfect circle when you are directly under the center of the sun, not at the North Pole.

Says the man with a drawing of the sun coming up over the horizon as his avatar. What if you're not directly under the sun?

How do I know it is not fake? How do you know it is fake? If I see the shuttle launch, talk with the astronaut, and know his mission is on board the ISS then why would I ever assume they are telling a lie? I can view the ISS through a telescope it is not hard.

Disbelieving in space travel because you refuse all evidence and only will accept space travel if you yourself went up is a pretty shallow way to go about living. IF I only believed what I did myself then I would be in a bleak, dull world.

If the Sun was a spotlight.
Since most of the time observations aren't made directly under the Sun, what do you conclude (if you really understand the FE model)?

If the sun does cast its light in a perfect circle, the current FE map must be horribly wrong, as shown by squevil.

So yes, it's quite difficult to understand a model that constantly contradicts itself.

The Sun does not cast light in a perfect circle, it only appears that way because your perception is limited to a certain distance around yourself. What happens when an equal radius of distance is charted in a 360 degree motion?  A circle.

Oh, so it just requires an elaborate presentation for you to believe. If you watched Spiderman the Musical and the actor told you he really was Spiderman, would you believe in superheroes?

Well if I saw enough actual evidence for a human that can "shootz webz" and climb up walls like a spider, sure. The problem of course is that no evidence exists. Unless you feel that comic books, CGI, and stage props are evidence.

I can see the space shuttle launch with the pillots in it, you can feel the gust of wind blown from the engines and even feel some of the heat. You can watch the shuttle as it accelerates up int the sky. You can slowly watch it vanish as it climbs higher and higher up. Then when the astronauts talked about working on the ISS, you can see the ISS as it orbits earth with a fairly good telescope (you can kind of make it out with a decent telescope, but to actually see the image you need a pretty good one and thankfully the coast guard is able to buy some pretty high powered scopes in the name of navigation haha)

So with enough evidence gathered I can conclude that the space shuttle went into space and docked at the ISS.

Pfft, what sort of fool believes someone has been to space just because you can see the space shuttle launch, there's extensive footage from the vessel taking off and going into space, pictures and videos from space orbiting the earth, live footage from the ISS, the ISS can be viewed clearly from earth, and we can see the re-entry of the space shuttle?  You'd have to be some sort of idiot.
