Hypothetical situations are useless to everyone.
Besides, perhaps FET is a conspiracy too.
It is just the way it is, you understanding it doesn't concern me.

For example, Einstein gained quite a lot of insight using hypothetical situations while he was developing his theory of relativity.

He has great scientists on his side, like Einstein.Who do you have on your side?

Quote from: markjo on June 19, 2012, 12:36:03 PMActually, hypothetical situations (thought experiments) can be quite enlightening. For example, Einstein gained quite a lot of insight using hypothetical situations while he was developing his theory of relativity. And? The Theory of Relativity still has large lumps of unproven material which lacks evidence entirely. Einstein was right on some things but largely wrong and made extreme assumptions about others. What happened was the correct material got tumbled in with the garbage and everyone is told that relativity must be accepted "as is." The correct portions of relativity were proven using hard experimental evidence and the junk is just based on loose facts and thought experiments. See the correlation?
