Ok, Im open to opinions

Hi there, i was reading an artical about the moon landing perphaps not happening when I discovered this group.

Im wondering a couple of things. If you could all be so kind to answer my thoughts.

1. If the earth is flat, why have we all been led to believe that it is round?

2. Do you all believe that the earth is supported on 4 giant elephants riding through space on the back of a giant turtel. Like in the Discworld novels?

3. Why do you keep calling the Earth the Hearth?

4. Why doesn't the 150foot high wall of ice melt?

5. Wich way does gravity go on the "underside" of the earth, and why has no-one fallen off yet?

i would say the contrary..

i dont know anyone from or am part of the flat earth society, so i dont know what they think in truth, but i know that there is a posibility for the earth to be something different from a sphere, there has been alot of scientific findings in the last decades to put our earth in many different perspectives, we use a globe to represent the earth so we can understand certain 3D or round qualities to it wich it has but is not limited to. soon you will find that looking at the earth in a 3d pespective will be out of date, there are much more things to consider to a round earth than you think.

religion is an organized state of belief, to tell you the truth i dont think any religion in the world is orginized at the moment, they are just maintaining an illusion of orginized.

but belief is something we all have and it doesnt have to be organized into 1 religion for people to co-exist, and that is the root of this forum i belive. to make people aware or to help bring that awareness to people that we (humanity) are able to work together or respect one another no matter what the person decides to belive in.

What are you talking about?  Our brains don't easily visualize anything beyond 3d (4, if you count time), and there's no reason to think that on a macroscopic level there's any more than those dimensions anyway.

1.  Conspiracy.  See the 45,789 other threads on this topic.

2.  No one here believes that.  It was a reference to an old Hindu (I think it  was theirs) belief.

3.  Hearth?  People can't spell, or type, or check their posts before submitting them.

4.  Same reason the ice at the poles in the RE doesn't melt.  It's cold there.

5.  There is no gravity on the FE.  What we feel as gravity is the acceleration of the earth through space.  Therefore, under the earth, without the earth pushing on you, you don't accelerate and you 'fall' from the earth.  If people fall from the earth, you would have no idea they did, since they couldn't tell you about it.

why is it cold there?
"because there's a wall of ice" is not a valid answer

if the earth has been accelerating forever, we would be going pretty fast wouldn't we? what has caused this continued force? and why wouldn't someone, who has "fallen over the side" continue to be accelerated much the same way as the Earth?

infact, due to a persons significantly lesser mass, the universal force would accelerate them past the earth, so they would appear to be thrown into the air, correct?

Why not?  Anyway, the intensity of the sun is less at the poles in the RE, hence, it is cold.  Same in FE.

Dark energy is like gravity in that it's effects can be seen on more massive objects than on miniscule ones.  Earth=lots of mass. Person=tiny mass.

what is dark energy and what is it made of?
light is photons being emitted, electricity is the movement of electrons, dark energy is?

under gravity, all objects free-fall with the same acceleration.

speaking relatively, if the FE is moving quickly through space, and someone jumps off the edge, they will move at the speed the FE was going as they jumped, plus any speed gained from the initial jump, and will then be picked up by the "dark energy" and accelerated upwards
