Flat Earth Society t-shirts are available again.. now with a second design!

For the first time since November, we're offering Flat Earth Society t-shirts and hoodies in the Flat Earth Shop.  In addition to the original design, there's a new special edition design based on illustrations from everyone's favorite, Earth Not A Globe and a headline from an issue of the UZS "Earth" journal!  That new design includes a back print as well.  Exciting stuff!  Pre-orders will last until May 27th and should ship about 2 weeks after that.  And unlike with membership packs, I'm usually very punctual about t-shirts.  Anyway, here's the two designs that are now available:

Oh, also, I apologize in advance for the increase in price since the last batch.  Royal Mail just did a major price increase on postage rates -- in some cases an increase of between 50-70%.  Very annoying.  To hopefully lessen the sting a bit, I'll make sure to include extra FES freebies (stickers, keychains, etc).

Please, may I ask, has anyone received their tshirts etc yet from the recent May 2012 ordering? I am still waiting to hear from Daniel, as I have not received the two tshirts I ordered.

Seriously, if you used a credit card, call the company and get them to issue a chargeback. Its about time Daniel got a wake up call. With American Express and VISA after him, he'll soon stop this embarrassing shit.

Oh, come on now, Daniel's not a bad guy. Ridiculously incompetent and clueless, yes, but not bad. If anything, perhaps the store should be clearer about the fact that you shouldn't expect your t-shirts without a half-year delay, so that people don't get their hopes up or plan to use the shirts as gifts for special occasions.

He won't outsource the distribution to a company to do it for him.
He won't relinquish control of the site.
He won't delegate issuing of merchandise to anyone else.
He won't actually visit the site to see complaints like this.


There are so many avenues open to him and he insists on being an authoritarian asshat about it. I'm not going to defend him. He makes this problem. He should face the very real consequences of taking people's money and not providing the goods or services. Its been going on for 6 years. Its neither funny nor excusable any more.

That'd result in the t-shirts becoming more expensive. I wanted to set up a (very) small business selling tees with my own designs. I even asked some people around here if they would be interested in buying them. While they were, they found my prices to be absolutely ridiculous, and I wasn't even including much of a profit for myself. The reason FES t-shirts are priced reasonably is that Daniel does not aim to make a profit, and he does a lot of the work on his own.

That's a good thing. The last time he came around, he instated FEC's, gave Wilmore essentially ultimate power, and broke Apache so hard that now it refuses to post random words, or too many url tags. Maintaining the status quo is better than him taking dumps all over the place.

We linked lots of companies that would actualy make the cost cheaper than it is right now, because they specialise in this. District lines is one such company. I think Tom bishop found some even better alternatives.

I can object when he breaks the law. Taking money in exchange for goods and failing to uphold his end of the exchange is illegal. The duration some people wait is way beyond reasonable expectation in many cases. Its a bit more serious that "sorry guise, I forgot to pay the bandwidth". The fact he has done it so consistently over such a long period of time, its getting on for fraud. you can't take people's money on the internet and just keep it for months on end.

That would also come without the neat bonuses that Daniel tends to add in at no extra charge, and no incidental profits would go to charity. Terrible deal is terrible.

You are not making a fair comparison. Ordering a single item is often far less economical than ordering in bulk.
