Do you make it a point to stay away from tech during these vacations?
Kind of, although the Island does too, you get fined (rarely implemented) if your device makes a noise in the tavern, and they guard the internet log on from visitors (although I have it).
The power is all on generators and goes off at 12.45 and the properties they rent out have no TV’s, it’s all about the nature and solitude.
I have a negative power that only shows on Lundy that breaks that peace, someone always injures themselves when I’m there and we get the coastguard helicopter come and land.
This time one of the staff was having a pallet bonfire and decided to jolly it on by throwing petrol on it from a can, (seriously), on the day the health & safety were over to do an audit and the day before the director of the Landmark Trust was coming over.
Luckily the resultant flare up only burnt his moustache and eyebrows off and lightly blistered his cheek, but because of the visitor they had to call the paramedics over to check his lungs for damage.
I only ever do this on a PC anyway.
Oh! and the Beaker is close but the hair should be white.
