Well, the 6am update was worse than I was hoping for. Cat4 at landfall! Still can't tell where it will come ashore, but it's going to be the worse hurricane I've ever experienced no matter where it happens.

Milton has decided to speed up. Yesterday they were saying landfall would be around 2am Thursday morning, now it's going to make landfall in about 4 hours. It's been raining all day, there are tornadoes everywhere. I could lose power at any moment just from the ground being saturated and tree falling somewhere.

Anyway, I have a plan to get a message to you guys if I live through the night. lol

I got a job offer though, and signed my contract the other day. Very pleased about that.

I just found out today that my mum was a cowgirl - she had to take the cows to the further away field and watch that they didn't wander off when she was a teenager. So now I have two cowgirl mums!

No, I don't live in a low area. One of my friend's house is flooding, though. All this flooding starts about a mile from here. This drone footage is even better https://x.com/tropicalupdate/status/1846698111353106864  It's weird how hard it is to recognize anything, but I do see the Simpson chicken farm in one of the shots. I have never seen the Withlacoochee river this far out of its banks.

Hi,

Back from holidaying on Lundy (again), happy to see Spacey/Gotham made it through the storm, had a minor one albeit geomagnetic and pretty, see below.



Stayed in a woodlined shack on a cliff for a few days before family arrived and we moved to bigger more substantial place, but the view was gorgeous.

 


Also, Wise got his revenge, went to a Turkish barber and now I look like a mental person impersonating Beaker.
