I didn't get the job. It was for a company called Gulfstream.

I asked the guy if I was to do the interview tomorrow, what piece of advice would he give me? He said I was the perfect candidate and didn't have any advice. He said the deck was heavily stacked against me and that they had to go with a guy with "significant Gulfstream experience".

In other words they gave the job internally as they planned all along and the interview process was just hr ticking boxes. What a complete waste of my time and money. Days off work to interview. Time preparing presentations, train fares, new shirt and two months of this crap.

I'm gutted. I'm going out to drink myself blind.

It was quite obvious from the start that you were applying with a bureaucrat-ridden organisation. While this wasn't the obvious conclusion, I am not in the least bit surprised, given the other things you have told us about the company.

I finally got my wisdom teeth removed this morning. I was pretty nervous about it, but it turned out pretty good. Surprisingly, I wasn't uncomfortable in the slightest before or during the procedure. I am hoping that it helps with the jaw problems I've been having. Though, at least I don't have to worry about getting them removed anymore.
