Earth Day ecological footprint quiz

http://www.earthday.org/footprint/index.asp

My ecological footprint is 13 acres, which I suppose isn't too bad considering the average for my country is 24. If everyone lived like me, we would need 2.9 planets, so I guess it is pretty bad, actually.

Hmm, the results seem a little strange in comparison with yours.

I scored 5.6 - which is less than the national average of 7.6 per person but it said I would need 3.1 planets.

Also considering I almost entirely eat fresh unpackaged food and never drive (walk everywhere) - I'm a little unsure what else I can do.  I don't use much power at all and all the power generated in my state is hydro power anyway.  The only thing I could do is fly less but I don't think my flying is a big deal.  If everybody used hydro generated power, no cars at all and mainly ate local unpackaged food, surely we could fly interstate a few times a year.

Nice, I beat all of you Sierra club, PETA member, tree hugging hippies - I scored a 34!  We would need 7.7 planets.  So I guess you hippies are good for something!

My total footprint is 2.1. We would need 1.2 planets if everyone lived like I do.

Scored 18.  We'd need 4 planets if everyone lived like me.  I think rather, we should just eradicate 80% of the population, and live more extravagantly than me.  Overpopulation is our problem.

Now that I think about it, there has to be something wrong with my answer. There is no way it should be that low. I'm going to redo it.

Edit: Ok, I was right. My actual footprint is 12 acres, and if everyone lived like I do we'd need 2.7 planets.
Crap.

Well I re did my survey but put in what I considered the most environmental answer but kept living in the same city and scored 0.9 - which is half what is needed for a sustainable planet.  I was disappointed that it told me that if everybody lived like me we would only need 1 planet instead of 0.5 planet but I'm sure I'll get over it.

CATEGORY ACRES

 FOOD 6.2

 MOBILITY 7.4

 SHELTER 4.9

 GOODS/SERVICES 11.1

 TOTAL FOOTPRINT 30

IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 24 ACRES PER PERSON.

WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 4.5 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE ACRES PER PERSON.

Turns out you don't get billed by the acre, though.
