Is college really free for everyone in Finland? My preliminary research indicates they have degree programs taught entirely in English.

I'm, thinking I screwed up when I chose my schools.

Probably, but I'm a bit isolated from educational policies in foreign countries. I'm hoping the presence of international members, including those who live in Finland, makes this forum a decent source of anecdotal reports regarding educational opportunities. :P

There was talk of charging foreigners but I'm not sure what came of it. I think its still free though.

I bet it was the "true finns" party's idea in an attempt to keep foreigners out, because they hate foreigners.

OH MY A THREAD DEDICATED TO FINLAND MY NATIONAL PRIDE IS TINGLING

Yeah, college is free here apart from living costs and paying for books and shit, though you can cover for that with welfare. Not sure if you would be liable to the same social benefits as a foreigner, though.

Also consider that our universities aren't very good.
