Hello. My name is Eduardo, I'm a 13 years-old Brazilian and I'm very interested in geography and religious/scientific debates. This is my first topic, so I'm sorry for any wrong thing here.
Not long ago, I was questioning myself about the aspect of the earth and the universe, and if it is reallycompatible to what I was taught.
I read about modern geocentrism, flat earth, and now I'm here, in the the Flat Earth Society Forums.
I read the FAQ, the wiki, but I am still thinking about some questions surrounding this theory:
- Do you really believe that the sun has a diameter of 32 miles? How this small celestial body would produce days and nights, four distinct seasons and a wide variation of temperature on earth?
- If Antarctica is actually a big block of ice surrounding earth, what about the many scientific bases located near the geographic south pole?
- Is there any photography of the end/edge of the world? Would it be possible to observe space if you are near the edge of the earth?
- How solar and lunar eclipses occur? In the FAQ I read about a supposed celestial body called antimoon, but there is so little information, please tell me more about antimoon.
- Since all other planets and bodies are spherical, why the earth is a different astronomical body compared to the others?
- Do you ignore the existence of the earth's core?
- The amount of evidence of a spherical earth is larger than the amount of evidence of a flat earth. There are many studies and formulas which defend a spherical earth, but very few which defend a flat earth. How do you explain that?
- Do you view flat earth as a truth or a theory?
- Do you believe in aliens?
- Do you believe that the earth is the center of de universe?
- Do you have any religion in particular? Do you believe in God?
Sorry if I wrote too much, but I'm really curious. Thank you advance and I wait your answers.
