Ah... you can't compare Gillie and McGrath - they're different players. McGrath doesnt hits runs but take MANY wickets. Gillie hits em long, and Wickies pretty well. I was afraid this might be our last generation of dominance, but with the talent we've got coming through, the pain continues! (for other countires).

Also, who said the first sentence doesnt make sense? Exactly which part is troubling you?

wow it has been a long time since last summer. What a cricket n00b! LOL

I like Gillie (LOL both of em ;)) but I think he's past his prime. I'd like to see him get a run in some warm up matches before they name him in the Ashes side.

Yeah, he should be in the upcoming ICC Trophies game, hopefully he strikes some form. We can always rely on Hussey to score us runs, he has a good average.

Dizzy is a good bowler, but you cannot compare him to McGrath, Mcgrath is easily the best bowler Austrlia has had in the last decade....easy.

Yeah I can't wait for the Ashes, time to see Australia dominate.

I have to say that I thought the reaction to the last Ashes was completely over the top.  Not only did Australia play about as badly as they have for years, but despite that, had the umpire not given the wrong decision giving Kaspa out when we were 2 runs away from winning in that close game (when he gloved the ball with his hand off the bat) we would have kept the Ashes.  So despite playing so badly we still only lost by a bad umpiring decision.  Not that I'm saying we should have won, umpires are only human and we should have played better but I think clearly Australia is a much better side than England and that's what I'm expecting from the next ashes.

Also Hussey is legend and will dominate - our problems with the middle order  evaporate with him in the side.
