And I couldn't stand it. The horrible information and assumptions he spoke were more than I could handle.
And what's worse is that he says it without mentioning the alternative.
For example:
He talked about the Arab spring and how it was a threat to America because Islamic parties are rising. He doesn't say anything about the Islamic dictators that were toppled. It's like he wants you to think that a political party that has islamic leaders is worse than an Islamic dictator.
What he doesn't say (but implies) is that democracy is only good if your enemy can't be part of it. America was founded on the idea of freedom of choice and yet he declares that such a freedom should not be allowed when that choice is not in our favor.
And I was listening to a Rick Perry interview. Rick said his state has had consistent job creation and is the third largest economy IN THE WORLD! Not only that but he says he will apply that job creation he did, like convincing a company from California to move their jobs to Texas, to America. He is basically saying "I don't create jobs, I steal them"
And how can he be responsible for a job growth that has been steady since before he was governor AND is lately oil based? How can he possibly apply that to the US?
THEN Michell Bachman came on to speak. Apparently she is the only true conservative in the race. Go figure eh?
And listening to her I realized what is wrong with our political system: they want to win.
Seriously. Think about it, if every politician had the chance to get 100% of the votes legally, would they? Yes. And that's why we fail.
Public office is about representing people, not winning. If your goal is to get the job, you shouldn't have it. The only people who should are those who are there to give people another choice. To represent people who agree with him/her. And to see if that number is the majority.
The only respectable politician is one who asks you NOT to vote for him if you don't agree with him.
