Dear beloved FES,


My name is Eddy Baby, and in April of next year I will be hitchhiking from Sheffield, South Yorkshire (aka where I live) to Sofia in Bulgaria.

This sounds awesome, shame you're not going to swing into Birmingham, I could have offered a part of the lift, maybe as far as Cambridge.

Well the route was just what Google suggested. I actually have no idea where we'll be going, but the Google route passes some absolutely amazing and/or strategic cities and towns.

Can't people donate money without you hitchhiking. How does hitchhiking make money? I'd donate but my parents took my money.

My car door handle broke off when it froze over, so next paycheck is going towards fixing that.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be a dick.  I'm really just wondering why the university would organize a charity drive around hitchhiking.  Anytime I hear about hitchhiking, the general consensus is that it's an extremely fucking stupid and dangerous thing to do.  Is there a method of organization to this trip that will minimize the potential harm or something?

yeah, saddam your argument is rather silly. hitchhiking is considered safe by anyone that knows anything about it. anyway we'll be fully insured.

I have a friend who will be backpacking a similar route at around the same time. If you see an idiot with blue hair, hold a knife to him and ask for a donation. He will happily oblige.
