Just got the Spellbreaker shield. There goes any possible challenge dragon fights may present.

^This.

I don't find them that much harder even with the Deadly Dragons mod installed. It just means you need good magic resistance and takes a little longer to kill them.

P.S.: On my first playthrough (no mods) I did get totally massacred by an Ancient Dragon, but only because I wasn't paying attention.

Dragon fights are pretty challenging in my game, but then again I've modded my game so that everything one-shots me.

Not particularly, but they're ridiculous now. Also, why do wards stop thu'um? They aren't 'magic', as far as I can tell

Yeah, the first time I encountered an ancient dragon (Labyrinthian), I got spanked, but by the time I started seeing them in the overworld I was high enough in Destruction to fry them up with little effort.  The only way I got past the first one, though, was by exploiting the use of Barbas; I set him loose in the chamber and then went back behind the gate and waited safely while he slowly chewed the dragon and skeletons up.  I wonder what the devs were thinking making him immortal like that.

Which was your favorite follower? I like that you can have someone carry your crap, but I wish they leveled up.
I'm sorry. Am I to understand that when you have a boner you like to imagine punching the shit out of Tom Bishop? That's disgusting.

My favourite follower was the one that didn't have shitty AI and wasn't constantly getting in the fucking way.

I never bothered using any followers, with the obvious exceptions of the mandatory ones in quests.

I just took Mjoll to the Blades, and she was the third recruit. I probably won't have another follower.

I don't bother with followers, but Shadowmere is very useful. He just keeps trucking no matter what hits him. I also call in Odhaviing a lot. Nothing quite like having what amounts to air support provided by a fecking dragon.

I used Janessa, the dunmer you can find at the meat shop in Whiterun.  She was pretty hardy for most of my questing, but eventually it just got too much for her to handle and I got tired of restarting from saves to keep her alive.  So I asked her to marry me and forced her into retirement to take care of my home in Solitude.

I married the smith in Riften because he has a job.

I used Lydia until she died and I realized bitch wasn't leveling up (I also restarted to bring her back to life). Then the Azura's star chick. She had much higher magic skills than I did at the time, so that was cool. Then I did Mjoll's quest and let her follow me for a bit, but she had a bad habit of getting in the way, seemed worse than Lydia or whatsherface... and she stepped on traps all the time.

I like having a follower to carry dragon bones and scales. It almost never fails if I go to a new place I get attacked by a dragon. It's always after I've cleaned out my inventory so I'll have room to pick up loot. I've been trying to make myself not pick up heavy items that I don't need, but bones and scales are so tempting. I DON'T KNOW.

I'm trying to decide if I want to keep doing side quests, or if I want to go back to the main quest for a bit... shit, I forgot that I can join the Companions. Maybe I'll do that first.

I was thinking that, for once, I'd try to do everything there is to do in an Elder Scrolls game. I don't know how long that will last.

Too late to dissuade me, I've already downloaded it.  Only twenty dollars' worth of points, too.

All you computer users are going to have to wait a month, I've heard.  But I'll let you know how this holds up.

Oh yeah, it's for the PS3 too.  I've spent so long playing console exclusive games that I've forgotten about the games that everyone can play.

I have now become a Vampire Lord!  I haven't had the chance to test out the transformation in combat yet, but what I can do is pretty cool.

It definitely is.  There's no time limit or "once a day" bullshit, and you get teh awesome magic powers.  And there's even a perk set for it

That's nice.  Werewolf form was utterly useless.  Especially how long it takes for the actual transformation, any instance where I could have used it I got slaughtered before I could move.  I stayed a werewolf, though, for the benefit of being able to fuck all the wenches I please and not worry about diseases.

Yep, plus Heavy Armor at level 151. I could probably do better but right now I'm really just trying to get the Platinum trophy. All I need to do is get all the Daedric artifacts (made the mistake of killing Barbas on my last file), get 100,000 gold (easy now that I'm ridiculously overpowered), read 50 skill books (annoying, but less 'hard' and more of just looking everywhere), and learn 20 shouts (easy). I could have had those by now but I wanted to go through 3 times: once as a pure mage, once as a pure thief (mostly archery), and once as a pure brute. Now I'm just making the brute a ridiculous beast and using her to plow through these. After that I'm probably done with the game until I get Dawnguard, since there won't be a whole lot to do.
